“Before you finally get over with them, first you must kill Micah,” Selene said as I finally entered her trance and all I could hear were her words.
The knife glinted in my hand as I held it tighter and walked towards where Micah was. As I got closer to him, I could see how he was soundly asleep, unaware of what was coming for him. I tried to think but I could still fell the pressure in my head and Selene’s commanding voice.
“Brielle, do it,” she whispered in my head. “This is the only way to become your true self, to become what you were destined to be. Let go of your weakness.”
Zadyre’s voice reached me from behind, breaking through the haze for only a moment. “Brielle, stop! Please, don’t do this. This isn’t you. You know this isn’t you!”
