We got to the resort after hours of being on the road and I immediately headed for Damon as I got down from the car. The ride was smooth and I was glad we didn’t encounter any problems. And no one could see us come to the resort because Damon was able to conceal us as we got here, but I wasn’t at peace.
Damon’s eyes met with mine and he gave a short nod. “Nothing at all, Zadyre.”
I let out a sigh and ran my fingers through my hair. “Am I just worrying for nothing?”
Damon’s gaze followed Brielle’s friend as she walked out of the car and I rose a brow at him. I’ve only seen him like this once. It wasn’t great.
“Damon, focus. You can stare at her later when you’ve answered my question and made sure we are safe.”
He peeled his gaze off of her and shot me a glare. “I wasn’t staring
