She crossed the field, slow, sure, until she could see the structure even without the headlight beams. It was an old shed that probably held farm equipment, or a well at some point, but had long been left to decompose. The stone foundation framed a wooden floor that was still intact. She could climb onto it from any direction, but she took the two wide stone steps up through a doorless doorway. She was “inside” now. And there was nothing there. She pulled out her phone, flicked on the flashlight, and aimed the beam along the floor, the shattered walls. She had that vague sensation.
