“Wake up sleepy head”. I am dragged from my sleep by Maisie’s voice right beside me, making me sit up with a start, blinking quite furiously. “Oh wow morning Daniel”
I rub my eyes. What happened ? And where am I ? “Morning ...”.
“You fell asleep on the couch last night. I couldn’t get myself to wake you up, so I tugged a blanket around you and you slept all night”. She is standing beside the couch looking all awake and perfect.
“Oh sorry about that”. I sit up, swinging my feet down on the floor. How embarrassing is it that I fell asleep like that. I hope that I didn’t snore or drool.
“No reason to apologise. I got breakfast in the kitchen if you are hungry”. She walks towards the door, but then she stops and looks back at me. “You are kinda cute when you drool”.
