You are fired!

Amanda woke up next to a sexy hunk of a man by her side. She thought it must have been a dream but it was not as she began to recall all that happened last night, she seduced a man and begged him to sleep with her.

Amanda enjoyed all that happened last night and it had beaten her expectations yet she was not proud of it. She threw herself at a random man and she was ashamed of her actions.

She gently got off the bed, making sure not to wake the man, so she would not be able to face him. She gathered up her clothes and quickly dressed up. With her shoes in hand, she tipped-toed out of his room, taking her first walk of shame after a one-night stand.

“Amanda” the man called when he woke up alone.

“Amanda” he called again, thinking she was in the bathroom, when she didn't respond he looked around and her clothes were gone.

“f**k” he declared realizing what that meant, she was gone and he had no idea of how to see her again. He wanted to see her again. No woman had brought some much need for more the way she did, and he must find.

Reaching for his phone he called Collins.

“Hey boss,” Collin said when he answered.

“Did you see the lady I came back with last night's leave?” he asked. Collins was not only his driver he was also his head of security. He must have noticed when Amanda left.

“Yes, she left thirty minutes ago” he replied.

“ s**t!”

“Is everything alright up there, sir?” Collins was alerted by the worry in his voice.

“There is nothing to worry about up here, I need you to find you to find her”

“That's all, sir?” Collins wanted to be sure he was fine.

“Yes,” he let out and hung up.

Amanda hurried back home to get ready for work. Things might have ended between him and William but she still had a job to return to. It's going to be hard working in the same environment as him. It is going to be more difficult when the news of their break up starts spreading, Amanda had made up her mind to ignore it just as she ignored side talks about their relationship. She was not involved in office gossip, she minded her job and put in her best no matter what.

Amanda made it to her office late for the first on the job. She sat behind her decks repiling a set of files she worked on yesterday as she prayed someone would need her to run errands for them.

The thought of last night kept coming back to her. The way the man touched and made gentle love to her made her forget all about William's betrayal and what she walked in on.

She wanted to see him again, but it was impossible, it was just s*x and a one-night stand he would never see her beyond that.

“Finally,” Amanda said when the office telephone rang. Something to take her off the man who loved her last night.

“Amanda Wilson, office assistant. How many I help?” she asked as she picked up

“Report to my Office at once” Amanda heard William command before hanging up.

“What does he want?” Amanda asked in fear and wonder.

William had never needed her. He had a personal assistant as the general manager. Not getting to work directing with him was why she thought she could easily avoid him, till the phase of their breakup passed.

“You called,” Amanda said when she got to his desk. He looked so handsome in his business suit and she began to curse herself for being such a fool to have ignored all that people had said about him and fell for his charms.

“Yes, I did Ms Willson. I called to let you know the company no longer needs your services” William announced.

“I am sorry sir, but I don’t understand what you mean by the company does not_”

“It means you are fired Amanda, take your purity culture to some other organization. We don’t need your services anymore” he blurted out.

Rebecca had advised him to fire her. She said it would not be a good thing if she started to tell everyone they were both having an affair. It would cause a scandal when people know he was f*****g his stepmother. Rebecca thought it would be clever to lay her off before she started talking.

“William_ did I do anything wrong”

“It is Mr Jossy around here” he corrected.

“I am sorry, sir. I do my job. And I know I am good at it, please don’t fire me. You and I know this job means so much to me. Please” Amanda begged. William knew about all the bills she had to pay including Leonard’s hospital bill.

“I do not care what it means to you. You are fired, Ms Wilson. Go and clear your desks and leave this minute”

“Please William_ you can’t do this” Amanda let out as she wondered on a second thought if William as general manager has the power to fire her

“Oh yes I can_ I am not just the general manager I own this company and I can fire whoever I want. Get out, Ms Wilson. Just leave”

“Please, please I need this job”

“I am done talking with you”

“What’s going on here” The man who just walked into the office asked authoritatively.

“Dad” William called as he got up from his desk.

“What a surprise! I was not expecting you till next week” William said, still surprised to see his father as he moved out from his desk.

Amanda looked at the man William called father. And freezes in shock. It was the same man who loved her last time and made her a woman. He was not just looking like William because she was thinking of William and tipsy. They looked alike because he was his father.

Shit!

As she watched both men shake hands they looked like twins with the older one two decades older than the other.

“Good to see you Dad,” William said pretending, his father was the last person he wanted to see.

“I have missed you too son_ what’s going on here?” He asked again, remembering the unfriendly air he walked in on as he turned to look at the lady.

His heart stopped when he saw her. Her green eyes were filled with tears and her curly brunette hair was held up revealing more of her sorrowful face.

“It is nothing, Dad, Ms. Wilson was just leavening” William quickly puts in to stop his father from intervening he knew how kind-hearted he could be.

“You are his father?” Amanda managed to speak.

“He is my dad_ what are you still doing here? Leave already” William yelled.

At William’s confirmation, Amanda ran out crying.

“What was that about?” William(senior) asked. He had named his son William after himself as requested by his wife, before she died. His son was William (Jnr)

“It is nothing Dad, just an Office assistant that needs to be put in her place.”

“I see,” he said as he tried to recover from meeting his mystery woman in the most unexpected place.

“Yes Dad, welcome back. Now that you are here. I need to call the board of directors for a meeting” William(Jnr) suggested changing the subject.

“Do that, while I take a work around the premises. I have a lot to catch up with” he replied using that as an excuse to go after Amanda before he loses her again.

He didn’t lose her this time, he saw Amanda weeping outside the building by the sidewalk carrying a box containing her office items. She is waiting for a cab but decides to start walking when none comes along.

William quickly called Collins to bring his car from the parking lot. When Collin arrived in the car, he got in and went after Amanda. When they caught up with her. He ordered Collins to pull over.

He rolled down the car window.

Amanda stopped and looked to see who had pulled over.

“Get in the car” William(senior) ordered.
