"Please don't try to get with her," Brodie said to me.
"I'm not," I said taking a sip of coco cola.
"Yeah, but if you two started going out, it'll be so fucken weird and awkward!"
"I mean, she's cute. You know she likes me."
"Eh, maybe. But we all know that you aren't serious with anyone. You aren't boyfriend material. You're not ready to make a commitment."
"That is true..." I said while putting my pop on the table.
"Surprising you're drinking pop. You usually drink beer. But anyways, you smoke, have s*x, drink, get drunk, etc. You're messed up, dude."
"Don't take after me. I'm a good influence," I said.
"Aha! You're a bad influence," he joked. "Oh, and I wasn't joking when I said that."
Nevermind.
Bethany's POV:
"Hey Karina! I'm sorry that I didn't pick up earlier. I had some business to clean up," I said to Karina on the phone.
"With Adam, huh?" she asked.
"Yeah, every single time," I said rolling my eyes, but she can't even see.
"He's a junior! Just like your sexy ass brother!" she squealed.
"Yeah, and we're sophomores, and please don't say that about Brodie, that's just gross, Karina," I said almost vomiting.
"What? I like him," she said quietly.
"Don't, don't. My best friend dating my brother is just.. a no. Ewh," I said shaking my head like she could see but she really can't.
"Hey, you'll be dating your brother's best friend!"
"A big fat no, Karina."
"I know you like him, Beth."
"No I don't! He's a real douche!"
"Quit denying it. You have an advantage! You're lucky that he's best friends with your brother."
"Oh my god, no, Karina. He's taken most of the girl's v-cards at school! I'm not letting him take mine."
"I never said anything about s*x, Bethany."
"Uh.. you know what?" I asked.
"What?" she replied.
"Gotta go." I hung up fast.
There is no way I am giving up my virginity to the school's bad boy, the school's player, that'll never happen. I'm not ready to have s*x! I'm 16! I'm not stupid enough to fall for his tricks.
