CHAN NEUL POV
I dressed into my school uniform and went downstairs with a sour, grumpy face.
Without a mood for today, I threw my bag to the couch and went to the kitchen.
I had menstrual cramps since early in the morning which made me more moody as I didn't get enough sleep.
All I really wanted now is bed, chocolate and air conditioner.
Everyone is seated when I arrived.
I took a sit next to Kai, shooting deathly glare to him.
Thanks to him too, I'm lectured all night by D.O.
He kept rephrasing that I didn't need a boyfriend at all and all I need to do now is to study.
I couldn't explain the whole situation.
I knew very well that D.O hate it when someone interrupted him or cut him off so I just nodded and nodded.
If not, he might lectured me about manners which he had been doing that for 3 years when I was being rebellious on the age of 10.
"Good morning, Chan Neul~" Kai sang as he smiled cheerfully at me.
"Morning, Kai.." I kept my sentences short, yet the burning of my glare never dies down.
He just smiled before turning his attention back to his cookie.
I took a round, fluffy bun and shoved it inside my mouth. I stifled a yawn that tried to escaped and I felt my eyes teary.
My eyes would unconsciously closed by itself and my head tilted a bit as I was about to sleep.
I heard someone cleared his throat and my eyes opened instantly.
"Hey, Chan Neul.. Are you.." Sehun was about to ask something but Kris covered his mouth.
"What is the date today?" Chen asked without looking at anyone in particular. "June 1st." Baekhyun answered and everyone nodded in understanding.
"Is it the day?" Chanyeol asked and Suho face-palmed himself. "What day?" I asked as I can't help my curiosity.
What day is they talking about?
"The day of your month..." Lay blurted out. "Lay hyung!" Everyone glared at him and I felt my cheeks reddened.
"So all of you know the date for my period?!" I asked in disbelief. "Shouldn't we help you to count the days? 28 days?" Kai asked innocently.
"Why should you count if for me?!" I think I could lose my sanity soon.
"Kai, stop it." I heard D.O smacked Kai's chest as I buried my face on the table.
I hope I can dig a hole and hide in there right now.
"Hey, we're sorry.." Kris patted my shoulder. I lifts my reddened face and jutted out my lips. "Sorry baby girl." Luhan pulled me into his embrace and patted my back in circular motion to calms me down.
"I know angel is very innocent but you shouldn't count the days for me." I said while narrowing my eyes but all of them just shut their mouth.
Silence evaded the room.
Did what I said it wrongly? Or am I too harsh?
"Nothing, Chan Neul. Eat your breakfast" Suho said after he heard my thoughts. "Okay..." I obeyed and I chewed the bun silently.
The atmosphere in the dining room turned tense and awkward.
BAEKHYUN POV
All of us were taken back by her words.
She still didn't know that we are demons even after 14 years with us.
After breakfast, I waited for Chan Neul in the living room.
It took another 5 minutes before she scrambled downstairs with bag on her back.
I am worried for her today.
Her mind is messed up...
She had so many thoughts, it was noisy.
"What's wrong?" I asked when I heard her sighing like an old woman while we're walking to school.
"I'm so tired and sleepy.." She sighed as she yawned for the nth time and I saw how wobbly and shaky her knees and legs were.
"Hey, be careful you might fall—" I didn't finish my sentence as Chan Neul fell to the ground right in front of me.
Chan Neul pouted as she rubbed her red knees.
"Are you okay?" I hurriedly went towards Chan Neul and checked her knees. Not a single scratch at all. Phew..
I might get scolded by D.O if he knew Chan Neul fell down today.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw Chan Neul imeditated herself to calms down.
Why is everything didn't turn right for me today!!
I could hear her grunts with her eyes closed.
"What's wrong? Why are you so stressed up?" I softened as I asked in low tone.
"Ask that Kai oppa.." She slightly raise her voice as she get up by herself.
She kept grunting along the way to her school while I just kept quiet behind her. If I cuts her off, she might cut off my head, so I better kept quiet.
Women on the day of the month were very scary.
It's hard to even breathes next to them.
It's 7 AM and Chan Neul sat on her seat in the classroom.
"Aren't you busy?" Chan Neul asked me out of blue. She looked like she has calmed down a bit.
"No.. I don't do anything at home so perhaps I could help D.O by following you to the school." I crossed my arms and leaned against the wall beside her. "Okay then." Chan Neul replied then she flipped her book into pages and read it silently.
I softened when I saw how much she wanted to be successful in studies to make all of us proud. I took a sit beside Chan Neul and read it with her.
"Are you interested with my book?" Chan Neul asked without looking at me. "Kind of.. Keep reading. I'll tell the others that you're very hardworking." I said to her. "Oh really! I'll read books often from now." She said cutely and I couldn't fight the urge to ruffles her hair.
Suddenly, King Brooke's words replayed in my mind.
Do we really need to kill her when the time comes?
"I don't know that you're actually a crazy person." A girl named Sohyun said. I read it from her nametag on her school uniform.
"And why are you saying so?" Chan Neul asked in calm tone.
"You're talking alone. How crazy..." Sohyun said as she flips her hair.
"I'm not crazy." Chan Neul said fiercely. "Whatever crazy creature..." Sohyun replied as she put her bag on her seat.
CHAN NEUL POV
"Whatever crazy creature." Sohyun said and I felt my heart being hammered.
Crazy Creature?
How could she said like that to me?
"Hey, Sohyun. You might get a pair of hands wrapped around your neck if you bullied her." Another girl named Jihyun said as soon as she entered the classroom.
"Why?" Sohyun asked. "Because she got a guardian demon around her." Jihyun blurted. "What are you talking about?" Sohyun chuckled.
"Don't you know that Taejun was chokes by a demon yesterday?" Jihyun asked.
"It's apparently her demon..." Jihyun added and both of them laughed before leaving the classroom.
My brain stop functioning with the information I got.
Who choked him?
D.O.. He did that?
"You was here yesterday?" I asked in low tone as I put down my book without looking at Baekhyun.
"It's not like that Chan Neul.." Baekhyun whispered beside me. He know what I meant.
"I'm sorry that I'm so weak.." I lowered down my head.
"Hey, look at me.." Baekhyun said in soft tone as he lifts my chin.
"You're not weak, Chan Neul.." Baekhyun said as he cupped my cheeks.
"Aish.. Look at me.. I'm crying like a baby again.." I wipe my tears harshly.
"It doesn't meant that when you cried, you're a weak person, Chan Neul. You just need to fight them back, Chan Neul.." Baekhyun said.
"I wonder why all of you want to take care of me.." My voice cracked.
"I'm so lucky to have all of you.." I added as I burst into tears.
Baekhyun chuckled as he pulled me into his embrace and gently stroked my hair.
"Yeah, you makes my life turns into hell to takes care of you." Baekhyun said as he chuckled.
"You kind off bite my fingers, grabs my hair, kick me, clung to me like a baby koala.." Baekhyun kept babbling but for some reason it comforted me. I loved this.
I went to the toilet to wash my face. I do look horrible when I'm crying.
Suddenly, the door bursted open.
Solji and Hani, the ones from yesterday looked at me with a smirk.
"Do you really have a demon, Park Chan Neul?" Hani laughed. "I don't have any." I answered with my poker face.
"Liar. Show it to us." Solji said in taunting way while crossing her arms.
"I said I don't any. Which words that you can't understand huh?" I slightly raise my voice.
Yes, fight back Chan Neul. I'm not a weak girl I'm a strong girl, Chan Neul.
They went nearer to me and I take a step backwards.
"Why? Afraid?" Solji's smirk became wider.
"No. Why should I am afraid of you.." I tried my best to not stutters.
"Acting brave huh?" Hani chuckled then both of them push me to the wall.
My head collided with the wall too hard and I felt myself collapsed to the floor.
My vision became blurry before it turned black eventually.
BAEKHYUN POV
It had been 25 minutes since she left for the toilet. I felt uneasy, there must something wrong with Chan Neul.
I ran to the toilet and peeked inside the toilet since it's the ladies'.
My eyes widened when I saw Chan Neul laid cold on the floor.
"Show us your demon, Park Chan Neul." Hani said while kicking Chan Neul's legs.
Once again, my blood boils upon seeing Chan Neul being bullied again.
You really want to see me don't you?
I went to Hani and Solji immediately.
I put my hands on their eyes. I made their vision blackened so they couldn't see anything except darkness.
"W-who are you?!" Solji shouted in panicked tone.
"W-what did y-you do to us?!" Hani shouted. Both of them were shaking and trembling in fear.
"You are the one who wanted to see me at the first place." I said in serious tone and tears rolled down from their eyes.
"I thought when I warned you yesterday, you wouldn't disturb Chan Neul anymore but I was wrong." I said and smirked.
"My hand feels light enough to twist someone neck today." I added and they cried even harder.
"We're sorry. We will not do this again." Solji cried and I saw both of them kneeled in front of me.
"Please." Hani pleaded.
"Are you sure? I'll believe you now but if you do it again, I'll make sure I kill both of you using my bare hands." I warned.
I made their vision turned back into normal.
Their eyes adjusted after a few seconds and they were looking around them for me.
"Why don't you run now before I change my mind?" I smirked and both Solji and Hani scrambled out of the toilet instantly.
Hmph. Coward.
I sighed when my gaze fixed to Chan Neul.
I crouched down and carried Chan Neul in bridal style then teleported back home.
