EIGHTEEN

THIRD PERSON POV

Chan Neul didn't get out from her room since D.O told her everything last night.

Baekhyun and Chan Neul fought yesterday, making Chan Neul locked herself in her room.

"You'll live with me forever." Baekhyun spat as he crossed his arms.

"What?! So that's means I can't even find a boyfriend?" Chan Neul gasped.

"He'll left you later and you'll still stuck with me." Baekhyun replied, rolling his eyes.

"How can you be so relax in this situation?! We must find a way to break this relationship!" Chan Neul said as she ran her fingers through her hair in frustration.

"There's no other way, Chan Neul. How many time should I said it? Whether you like it or not, you'll be with me forever!" Baekhyun raise his voice as he began annoyed with Chan Neul's action.

"Well, I have my dignity too! Don't you remember what you said to me last year?! And now you want me to be with you after you threw hurtful words to me?!" Chan Neul asked as her eyes started to get teary out of frustration.

Baekhyun lowered his head when he remembered what he said to Chan Neul when she confessed that she liked him last year.

"You're so selfish, Baekhyun. You didn't ask for my favour nor my willing but you ordered me to be with you forever like a conceited jerk!" Chan Neul's voice cracked and tears escaped from her eyes.

Baekhyun felt guilty. He lifted his hand to wipe away her tears but she pushed his hands harshly.

"Don't touch me!" Chan Neul hissed.

"You should listen to Kai that night, Chan Neul." Baekhyun said in low tone.

"So, it's all my fault?" Chan Neul turned her back to Baekhyun and when Baekhyun didn't answer she spoke out again.

"Everything is my fault.. Great!" Chan Neul exclaimed sarcastically, brushing away her tears.

"You'll not change anything if you acts like this, Chan Neul. You're so childish. I'm so done with you!" Baekhyun said angrily.

"I don't need you Baekhyun! Go away from my live! I hate you!" Chan Neul shouted on top of her lungs and she knew Baekhyun heard it very clearly from the way he slammed the door.

"Chan Neul is still in her room?" D.O asked while they were eating breakfast.

"Should I call for her?" Sehun asked but none of them dared to reply when Baekhyun's gaze darkened.

"Should we call for her to have breakfast with us, Baekhyun?" Suho asked in soft tone.

Baekhyun sighed then he get up from his seat and straight away went to Chan Neul's room.

"Both of them are really hard headed..." Kris shook his head.

"It's a miracle that she still stay here after all of this happened. I did expect her to acts worse than that." Lay said and all of them nodded in agreement.

Baekhyun went into her room easily although she locked the door.

His eyes twitched in confusion when he didn’t found her.

Suddenly, the wind chimes rings.

He saw the window was wide opened.

As the curtain flew, he saw her sitting at the window, her legs dangled at the outer side.

Chan Neul tightened the locks of the rope that she had been working on.

She was going to slide down but she scared that her skin might burned when she slides down using the rope.

“What are you doing?” Baekhyun whispered next to her ear.

Chan Neul gasped loudly.

She was so shocked that she unconsciously dropped the rope and fell to the ground, leaving loud thud.

"A-ahhh..." Chan Neul whimpered when her back landed on the hard, rough ground. She feels like her back had been stabbed by thousands of needles.

"Yah, Park Chan Neul!” Baekhyun shouted worriedly. His eyes were so wide. “Are you okay?! I'm coming down!"

He jump down.

Luckily, they didn't have any neighbour. If not, their neighbour might call for ambulance and police instantly, reporting about suicidal neighbour.

Chan Neul's eyes widened instantly when she saw Baekhyun was about land on the ground.

She immediately got up and ran away although her back hurts like hell.

"Kyungsoo, can you pass that bun to me?" Luhan asked.

“Sure.” D.O handed the bun to Luhan.

Xiumin, Luhan, Chen, Lay and Tao's eyes widened when they saw Chan Neul running outside of the house through the sliding door.

Suho and Kris saw it too.

"What's wrong?" Chanyeol asked.

"Chan Neul…" Tao blurted and pointed to the sliding door.

As all of them turned their head facing to the window and they saw Baekhyun chasing after Chan Neul at full speed.

"Let me gooooo!!!!!!!" Chan Neul shouted on top of her lungs. Her shouts could be heard by them.

"Yah, Park Chan Neul. I had done everything to you but you still acting like a child. If you do this again, I'll kill you by myself." The words were unconsciously out from Baekhyun's mouth.

Chan Neul shifted her gaze while other looked at her sympathetically.

Baekhyun dragged Chan Neul back into the house and made her sit next to him in the dining room.

All of them didn't dare to talk anything.

"Here, Chan Neul, eat this…" Kai handed a plate of pancakes to Chan Neul.

"It was your favourite, right? D.O cook this special for you.." He added.

"I don't have any appetite.." Chan Neul whispered.

She felt so small and powerless when she sat with all of them.

They could cut off her head anytime, she thought.

"Will you just please eat it?!" Baekhyun asked in angry tone.

Chan Neul trembled hands immediately shoved a small piece of pancake into her mouth.

"Baekhyun.. You scared her.." Chanyeol whispered, he nudged Baekhyun.

Baekhyun sighed and turned his head to Chan Neul.

"Are you in pain?" Baekhyun asked referring to her back.

"N-no.. Y-yes.. N-no.." Chan Neul stuttered and looked away from Baekhyun.

Lay stand up and went towards Chan Neul.

He put his palm on Chan Neul's back and put on some pressure.

Chan Neul flinched and groaned in pain.

"Luckily, your bones didn't break. You'll recover soon by yourself." Lay said.

Throughout the breakfast, Chan Neul didn't talk unless someone asked a question directly to her.

She nibbled on her food, if she eat more, she believe she would throw up the whole breakfast.

After the breakfast, she went upstairs and straight away went into her bedroom silently. Baekhyun went to upstairs to find her in her bedroom when he realised Chan Neul was missing.

He saw Chan Neul rested her back on the headboard and stare emptily on the wall.

Her eyes blinked slowly.

"Can I get in?" Baekhyun knocked on the door.

Her head snapped upon hearing his voice.

"Y-yes…" Chan Neul replied in low tone, she pushed herself to sit properly.

"You shouldn't pull out that stunt again. It scared me." Baekhyun said, he sat on edge of the bed.

Chan Neul bit her lower lips, she doesn’t know what else to say. When it became awkward, she turned her face away from Baekhyun.

"I'm so sorry, Chan Neul." Baekhyun apologized, his voice with sincerity and she could felt it strongly.

"Explain everything to me." Chan Neul spoke out.

"About what?" Baekhyun questioned.

"Why did you decided to take care of me when I'm a baby?" Chan Neul asked.

"D.O didn't tell you why?"

"No, he kept telling me that it's better if you're the one who explain although I don’t understand why." Chan Neul murmured.

"Do you want me to be your next meal?" Chan Neul asked casually.

"I won't run away from you again so please tell the truth."

She blinked innocently and Baekhyun couldn’t help but to burst into fit laughter.

"Why do you think about that? We never intended to do so." He chuckled.

"Then what?" She frowned.

"You're so small and innocent at that time. Your parents died in front of us, so how could we just left you there alone and in cold?" Baekhyun said in questioning tone.

“D.O see hope inside you. He is the one who insisted to take care of you.”

“So you should always be grateful to him. Respect him and love him.”

"Okay.” Chan Neul shortly replied. She knew he was serious and being honest from the look on his face.

"Chan Neul, I know everything will be hard in future but I promise I'll make sure we get through all of it." Baekhyun said, placing his hands on top of Chan Neul's warm hands and gave a light squeeze.

Chan Neul looked at Baekhyun in confusion.

She didn’t understand why it’ll be hard.

"Because you're a human so sometimes things wouldn't work for both of us easily. Maybe I was only the one who could do certain things but I believe, if we train you, you could be capable just like me." Baekhyun explained.

"You will train me?" Chan Neul’s eyebrows knitted together.

"Yes." He replied. "I'll train you on how to become my mate."
