I stand there completely shocked. I can’t believe he asked me out! Little ole me, India Downers; whom only had 1 serious boyfriend in college and been dating losers ever since then. But this is Luca, the man I’m secretly in love with and have been since we met 10 years ago!

It was love at first sight for me. Now he’s asking me out. His tall 6’4 frame tower over my 5’7 one. He’s a very sexy and beautiful man and has 3 security businesses. 1 supplies security technology, and the other 2 supply security guards to different areas around the city. What kind of woman wouldn’t want that?! You have to be crazy to turn him down!

I look up into his beautiful bronze eyes. “I would love to go out with you Luca”

He smile that sexy ass smile. He has perfect teeth! I just wanna eat this man alive! “Great! I will pick you up at 8:30pm on Friday! Sounds good?” He asks.

“Yes, that’s perfect for me!” I answer. Feeling giddy inside.

“Okay, perfect! See you Friday beautiful” he kisses my cheek and gets in the elevator.

“See you Friday” I wave him off.

When the doors closed I did a little mini twerk. “Aye” . I was beyond happy!

I collect all my paperwork and but every file in its rightful place. I can truly say at the age of 29, I’m doing great for myself. I own my own therapy practice. Yes I’m a therapist, an Emotionally Focused Therapy. It’s a form of therapy that focuses on adult relationships and attachment bonding.

I’ve been in my career for 6 years now and it has been a journey but I love what I do! It’s very rewarding! I love helping people!

I get done making sure everything is in place and close and lock my office door. I go to the other areas of my floor, being that I own the whole floor. The other rooms are multiple businesses I own but don’t run. It’s really my investments. It’s a total of five: 1 daycare for children, 1 daycare for elders, 1 shelter for young mothers, 1 big brother program, 1 big sister program.

I guess you can say, I’m a BOSS LADY!

I go check on the businesses to make sure everything is running smoothly and that people are happy! I rarely run across any problems which is great!

On the way home, my mind drifts off to Luca. That man is everything and more. I really can’t wait for our date Friday.

I pull up in my driveway, noticing Lanee’s car in my driveway. Yes my bestie is here!

I get out with my briefcase/bag! I can see she’s still in her car. Idk why because she has a key to my place and I have one to hers. She sees me walking up to her car and gets out.

“Hey bestie!” She says excitedly!

“Well I see someone’s happy to see me!” I tease.

“I’m always happy to see you Indi” she pouts. “But I have great news!”

“What!!! Tell me!” I’m geeked to know what!

“Let’s go inside first” she suggests.

“Idk why you didn’t go in and wait for me crazy girl. Plus I have news for you as well!” I exclaimed happily!

“Okay okay!” She says while we walk towards the door.

*Inside the house

“Okay let me go first” I tell her! “LUCA ASKED ME OUT!” I screamed happily!

“YASSS girl FINALLY, GET THAT d**k!!” She starts twerking.

I laugh at her silliness. “ girl you’re so stupid, lmao!”

“Girl I’m so serious. My husband is FINE but that man is FIOONNEEE, Okay!!” She exclaims.

“Wheeww yes, don’t I know it!” I agree with her! “We’re going on the date on Friday, so I’m going to need you for my hair and makeup” I tell her!

She smirks, “girl you know I got you. You can’t be slacking. I know he gone look good but you have to be Slayed to the GODSS!” She does a hair slang she always do.

“See that’s why I love you” I tell her.

“Oh I know boo” she says sarcastically.

I roll my eyes playfully. “So enough about me. What’s your news?” I ask her.

She bites her bottom lip nervously, “Quintin fertile ass done knocked your girl up again”

“REALLY!!! OMG!!” I scream jumping up and down. “CONGRATULATIONS BESTIE!! Let me call my bro bro and tell him too” I pick up the phone ready to dial

“No!” She snatches it! “I haven’t told him yet!”

I look at her crazy, “and why not??”

“It’s going to be a surprise. I’m telling him on our anniversary getaway next month” she says.

“Oohhhh because girl I was about to slap you” I look at her giggling. “But yes that’ll be great! You guys been together for almost 8 years. That’s love love and I want that!”

“Girl you’ll get it one day. I’m banking on it to be with Luca. You know he’s had a crush on you since y’all first met.” She tells me.

“Girl why you didn’t tell me?” I ask her.

“Girl Luca was a hoe. I would’ve killed him if he ever broke you heart. After Quintin of course. But I know he’s ready to settle down now” she smiles at me.

“Well I hope so because I’m not dealing with another heartbreak.” I exclaimed.

“Oh I know. I really wish you would give me Monty’s address so I can change his whole life around!” She says in a serious tone standing up pulling her blade out.

I laugh, “girl no. Sit your crazy but down”

“I’m just saying bestie. I can get those tears back in blood for you” she winks at me.

This is why I love this girl.

“Well let me get home to see about my crazy children and cook Q his favorite dinner tonight. I’m pregnant now so I’m always horny.” She rolls her eyes and gets up.

“I might try this new trick I seen on xnnxx.” She says while grabbing her purse and following me to the door.

I open the door for her, “that’s how you got in the predicament you’re in now.” I laugh shaking my head.

“You know I’m down with that freaky s**t! That’s why Q married me” she licks her tongue out. “In his own words, ‘I can’t let you do no freaky s**t to nobody else.’”

“Both of y’all are freaks, lol” I say.

“And is!” She says while getting in her car waving bye to me.

I wait until she pulls onto the neighborhood street and closes the door.
