Dinner was uneventful with my parents, like usual. I had to hear all about Kayla’s wonderful life. I couldn’t wait till it was time for me to go to my room and work on homework.
I love my family, but I hate that I just exist to them. I’m never special like Kayla.
I was working on it when I heard the ping of my phone. Shawn was texting me.
I was surprised to see that he was asking me about Matt’s party. Everyone knows, you don’t go to one of the populars parties unless they ask you personally. At least, ones like me know this.
Since no one asked me personally, I know if I showed up there, they would make fun of me before kicking me out. No way I want to go through that.
