When I pulled up to Lila’s house, I saw that she was outside, waiting for me. That is different, usually my friends wait inside their houses if I pick them up.
Lila ran to the passenger side and opened the door and jumped into my car.
“You seem like you are in a hurry.” I said to her.
“Umm, yeah. I might get into trouble.” Lila mumbled.
I put my car into reverse and pulled out of her driveway. “Trouble? For what?” I asked her.
“Dinner.” Lila said.
This is confusing, “Dinner? I am not following you, you have to give more details.” I told her.
“Kayla isn’t home, so since I’m not at home, Dinner won’t get made and my mom is going to get mad.” Lila told me.
None of that made sense to me. Why is Lila making dinner for her family?
