I hate that we are arguing about this. We still had a lot to learn about each other, and she had to learn how things ran around here. I had done research before they got here. I wanted to be prepared.
"Come here and let's look at this together." I told her and opened up the laptop on the desk.
"We can pull the MLS listing of properties and see if this is listed and if it's not, we can call who they have listed as the owners and see if it's a private sale. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here, but I'm telling you something feels off about this."
She sighed but came over and sat down in my lap as I booted up the laptop. I wrapped my arms around her, and she leaned back against me. It was like an unspoken truce between us.
