Skylar's POV
I really thought I had died, but I could feel so much warmth on my right side and when I opened my eyes there laid our son. He was asleep but perfect and healthy, or so it seemed. Looking further down, Callen had his head on my bed and was sound asleep. I wanted to cry in happiness that I was still alive. I was scared that I was going to die during childbirth. I had been told my entire life that my mother did, and I had a feeling I would have her same fate and I almost did, but they saved me. I don't remember anything after being pushed out of the room.
My entire body hurt and I felt like I had been run over by a truck, but I'm sure that is because of whatever they had to do to save me.
