I didn’t even get the chance to ask how my mother knew about me absorbing the powers.
Something felt strange immediately... the air changed.
Not emotionally... physically. The atmosphere itself seemed to shift, thickening with a pressure that made my wolf stir beneath my skin. My mother’s words still rang in my ears, but the hair on my arms was already rising for a different reason. Something was wrong, and I could feel it.
