I was just about to hold it out when a sharp knock broke the silence.
Alexander’s head turned toward the door. “Come in,” he called, sounding more irritated than curious.
Kyle stepped inside, his expression tense. “Alpha, sorry to interrupt, but you need to see this.”
Alexander gave him a look that made most people shrink, but Kyle stood firm. “Can it wait?” Alexander asked.
Kyle hesitated. “It’s urgent, Alpha.”
