Chapter 9 Phillip stood up and pushed back his chair. “What is it? Is everything all right?” “Elise just hurt herself chasing the kids. I’ve had one of the other volunteers take her to the ER,” Ms. Stockbridge said. “Is she going to be okay?” “She’ll be fine. I think she just sprained her ankle, but we can’t take any chances,” Ms. Stockbridge said. “Now we have a problem. As you know, she was supposed to prepare dinner for the kids.” That was true.
