Phillip led Sarah to his truck as she buttoned up her coat. Tonight had been unexpected but wonderful. He’d come today ready to forget about her, but she’d been quick to apologize and had opened up to him instead. Building the snowmen with her and the children had been fun, but the snowball fight had been the best. Now he knew what he had missed growing up. All because of her.
He’d sensed when things changed. They both knew at that moment that it would never be the same again between them. For someone who hadn’t wanted a relationship, he’d quickly become open to exploring the possibility of one with her. He liked what he had seen so far, and he wanted to get to know her more. He wasn’t sure how long she would be in town for, but it looked like she’d be here till after Christma
