Soraya's Pov
I followed Darius into the cabin and the first thing I noticed was how dark it was inside. There were candles everywhere but they didn't give off much light, the windows were covered with thick curtains that blocked out most of the sun. The air smelled like herbs and smoke and something else I couldn't identify.
The cabin was one big room with a kitchen area on one side and a sitting area on the other. There were shelves covering every wall and they were packed with jars, bottles, books and things I didn't recognize. Some of the jars had things floating in them that looked like they might have been alive once and that made my stomach turn.
