I woke up to sunlight streaming through the curtains and for a second I just lay there staring at the ceiling. I had been hiding in this room for a week now and honestly I was getting tired of it. The walls felt like they were closing in and I kept thinking about everything that happened at dinner last week when Emily called me that word and everyone found out I was Darius's mate.
