My pearl from deep seas 3

664 Words
It was a sunny day, the sky was so clear that you were tempted to sit on the grass and lose yourself in its blue. I was carrying the last box of things into the house when, a ray of sunshine passed me by, she looked so much like the mermaid I thought I had seen that as she passed me by, I couldn't take my eyes off her, she looked like that mermaid or that light, that Svetlana of mine. Was it really her in the flesh? I'd just seen her collapse in my arms... The sun and the sky all reflected in her beautiful eyes, I felt like she meant everything to me even though I didn't know her. It felt like home, it felt like a mother, it felt like all the peace of the universe in such a small and fragile body. I watched her until she walked into the house, she seemed to be sitting right next to me, who would have thought that this tumult of feelings she stirred in me would spill out right next to my wonderful home. This surely was a divine sign! I believe in divine signs too, always have. All evening the thought couldn't take me away from her, no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't even help my mother unpack, I couldn't eat, I was simply dreamy. I was thinking about those eyes. Of everything reflected in them, of life in all its forms. So profound and meaningful was that sequence for me. Just before I fell asleep, my worried parents came to me. They could tell they weren't worried in a bad way. We simply used to tell each other everything, no arguments, no reproaches, just what was on our minds and what we felt. I told them about this event that made me think about everything and they recommended that the next morning, when school started, I go to her house so that we could go to school together. My parents have told me that they have found very good jobs, exactly to their liking, and everything seems to be taking care of itself. We will have our perfect life again with ups and downs, but we will be together, and we will be ready to get through whatever we are given to face. The next morning, I woke up in a perfect mood, tidied up the house, had my breakfast and immediately went in front of her house. I waited a while for her to come out, but it seemed to me that the weather was so beautiful and the need to see those eyes so great that I could have waited anytime. She came out of the house at one point and seemed very surprised to see me, at the same time, excited, she looked at me as if she actually wanted to see me and was looking forward to it. I confessed that I don't speak English well and would need someone to help me integrate into school, as it was my first day. She was happy to help me, was morally supportive from the first second about school, about people in the neighborhood and people in general and started correcting me as soon as she had the chance. At school, everything went naturally, everyone was very nice to me. I don't know if this is necessarily due to me or because she was always around me as I was around her. No one laughed at me for slurring my words or being different from them, I already felt like one of them. Of course, I had a long way to go to reach the level of the others, but everyone was patient with me. With her, I felt I could do anything anyway so I didn't worry about it. I felt it from the first second we looked into each other's eyes in front of her house. I can swear that something magical happened then.
