I exited Luke’s cabin in a rather sour mood and thrashed right into Mike who was circling the hallway as agreed upon. I composed myself quickly as I took a step back and found my balance. He had clearly run into Sophie there and by the dazed expression on his face, it was quite obvious that he had overheard every single word. Oh dear lord, this is much worse. I had hoped that Mike had not sticked around and had left instantly after his part was very well contributed, I didn’t actually expect him to loiter around even after the deed was completed. He most probably decided to stay back on an impulse after he saw a mad Sophie rush in here, utterly pissed off.
