I eyed the High Priestess in front of me warily, then smiled cheekily at her, which probably wasn’t the best move to do, but I had no other choice but to piss her off, at least, for the time being. I needed her fired up and distracted so that when we made the supposed exchange, she didn’t exactly notice the dazed and bewildered look on her second in command’s face. If she were to fight me head on, now, when I wasn’t aware of my own powers and abilities, I would lose miserably and I couldn’t afford to take that risk, at least, not yet.
