I let out a groan of frustration as I realized that he was still hot on my tail, following my intently, no matter how many turns I made to confuse him. This has got to stop. I can’t live in this neighborhood with every second watching over my back. After we were dismissed, Luke had been following me intently for the last few minutes. As expected of an experienced Chief like him, he always sticked to the shadows and was really good at hiding at turns to avoid getting spotted by the one who he was following. Too bad, my vampire senses and my advanced hearing had picked him up right from the very beginning itself and because of him intently following me, I couldn’t even run in my normal vampire speed back home and was forced to walk slowly like a normal human and behave as normally as possibl
