"Please tell me that what I just heard is not true. I'd just come back from Shadow Pack Aysel and this was the first thing I heard. You told me that you had everything under control, and you wouldn't do anything stupid, but this was beyond stupid. This is irrational. It seems as if you are not thinking straight."
I rolled my eyes inwardly. Chloe glanced at me before focusing back on her paperwork. She didn't want to be in the middle of our argument.
"I don't understand Beta Carl, I am not obliged to tell you anything. I am a fully grown woman who can make decisions by herself. Besides, we are busy at Shadow Pack trying to rebuild a certain structure that an imbecile blew up, and I must thank you for staying to the end of that project."
