"I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation, but I couldn't help it. Your secretary wasn't around so I let myself in. Tell me that what I just heard was wrong, Aysel. You are pranking someone else, or you knew that I was standing behind the door and was trying to make me feel bad."
I looked up, only to see Connor leaning against the doorframe of my office. His face looked worried. I didn't know what to say. I felt like a wife whose husband had just caught her cheating.
This situation was really awkward.
