This meeting was taking a toll on me. Sometimes I wish that I could just close my eyes and have a big break. I wanted to take David and go on a holiday, but I knew that I couldn't leave the company only for Chloe to manage. She would be so stressed. Even though she wouldn't admit it out loud, I knew she was tired. Although I didn't know what was making her tired.
Her eyes were so puffy, and she didn't have her usual bright smile on her face. I know she wasn't paying attention to what was being said, not to mention her high intake of caffeine these days.
She couldn't go an hour without having coffee. Maybe I should tell her to take a break, to take two days off. She needed it more than I did. She wouldn't even tell me what was going on with her. I know that Lizzy has no idea,
