Episode 4: How it all started (the Z plague)

After a horrible day, the group of survivors including Jack, his family and friends were tired and took rest in the building they were settled. The night went by and so did the Dead.
The sun rises, a new day begins.
Everyone started getting up one by one, rubbing their eyes, yawning.
James (the Police officer) went again nearby the windows to check the streets and there were no Dead roaming around, he thought they could stay in this place for some time and plan what to do next.
Everyone were still frightened and panicked by the day they were gone through, Jack and his friends still convincing Jessy as she was still crying after losing her parents.
Thomas saw James and slowly walked towards him, James was sitting nearby the window and thinking of something.
Thomas said: Hey Officer, can I ask you something...
James replied: Yeah, go ahead what do you want to know.
Thomas: Do you know how all of this started, why are these people attacking us if they are Dead and how can they move if they are Dead...
James replied: See this is a very long story, I will explain.
James told Thomas to sit beside him and started explaining what actually happened.
The conversation started.
James (the Police officer): Thomas I will tell you whatever I know about this, these Dead things.
Thomas: Yes, please officer.
James: So, everthing was fine. I left my family home and came to my work as usual, and everything was going like it used to be. I came to the station and continued my work, then suddenly we got a call from the Hospital, they said there was a patient with a Dog bite, who was admitted in the Hospital and they thought that the patient was infected with Rabies a virus which is caused by Dogs.
Then suddenly after some time that patient who was admitted, he fainted they called the doctors to check him out.
The doctors said that he was not alive, they were taking his body to check what was the cause of his death, then suddenly he started attacking, biting them, the nurse in the Hospital could not do anything then lock the door and called us.
This is how all of this started, who ever got bit by the patient started turning into those things, suddenly the Nurse was shouting on the call (Helppp.....), like someone was attacking her, she was in pain...
We took our vehicles and rushed towards the Hospital, but it was too late, everyone were running to save their lives, the place was totally out of control.
Some people ran towards us, and told to save them, we had only place for 2, they pleaded and we took them in our vehicle. I was sitting with the driver and they were sitting on the back with our officers.
One person had a bitten mark on his neck.
We didn't had any idea if the infected bite other's they also turn into one of them.
After we reached a distance, the person who was bitten fainted, our officers checked on him. That person started attacking the other one who was with him, the driver got panicked and losed his control over the vehicle and he crashed it.
I somehow managed to get out of the car, the driver got stuck and was attacked by the person too.
I had to shoot him so that he does not make more damage, but the damage was already done.
After knowing that their bite can also infect the others, I had no choice but to get out from that place, I didn't have the strength to shoot my own officers, my friends, I left them (James started crying).
I started walking towards the road and found some police officers on the street and they took me with them as I was covered with blood.
I woke up after an hour and explained to the officer's whatever happened back there in the Hospital, at first they could not believe what I was telling them.
After a week, the virus was already spreaded all over the city and was being broadcasted in the news.
We could not take down the Dead as there were too many, having no other choice we saved as many people we could, you guys are from those people who were saved like others in this place.
This is what happened a week ago, and this is all I know, James said wiping his tears. Thomas tapped James shoulder and said we will all come out of this together.
James said: I do not know if we can move out of this city, as I am not sure if the city nearby is also infected or not, but we have to take this chance, I have to inform them and clear all the Dead in this city to stop spreading of the virus, if the Plague spreads all over, if that happens then we are done for.
Thomas realizing how quick these virus can spread and take over the world, he says to James.
Thomas: We need to stop this Z plague, before it takes over the world.
James replied: That is what I am afraid of, we need to hurry and get to the other city by the road, but I am not sure if we have that much fuel left in the vehicle to take everyone there...
Suddenly they hear the Dead's on the street....(Moaning & Roaring continues).
Thomas and James ran towards the door and tried to find a gap to peek and look at the streets, they saw the herd of the Dead approaching towards them.
