THE DEAD UPRISING

Episode 2: Shelter

As Jack and his family were saved by the Police and reached to their destination. They thought they would be safe here as they were surrounded by Police and ammunitions to protect themselves.

But on the other hand the Dead were awakened due to the Z plague. (the virus was effecting the people who were already dead and those people who were bitten by them).

The Deads got out from their graves, from the mortuaries and were gathering in a large number of groups (herd), they were slow but their numbers could take down anything that comes in their way.

In no time the whole city was burned down to Thrash and already the Dead got in each and every corner of the city, attacking those who came in their way. This was just getting worse...

Meanwhile Jack and his family were walking towards the Police Station to find some shelter so that they can be safe at night, they were slowly moving towards the station as there was dead silence on the street.

Finally they reached the station and could relax, there were other survivors too who were rescued by the Police from the city nearby.

Jack went looking for his friends in the Station, he found Ryan and Tina, as he saw them he ran towards them and hugged them tight.

Ryan: Woooaah buddy let me get some air, you are squeezing me.

Tina: Haha nice to see you Jack.

Jack: Yeah, but where is Jessy? He asked.

They searched the station to find Jessy if she was also saved and bought to the station, after searching for some time Ryan saw someone sitting in the corner, he called Jack and pointed towards the person.

They both moved slowly towards the person sitting in the corner. Jack whispered it is Jessy and ran towards her, kept his hand over her shoulder and called her by her name.

Jack said with a low voice: Jessy is that you.

Jessy was crying, she saw Jack and hugged him and started crying loudly.

Jack asked: What happened Jessy, what's wrong?

Jessy replied: My Mom and Daddd... they are gone.........

Like Jessy there were too many people who losed their loved ones.

As this conversation was going on, there was some noise coming from outside the Station on the streets (Growling and Roaring), the police officers ran towards the window to check what was that and they saw a herd of zombies heading towards the Station.

They came back to inform everyone to stay quiet and locked all the doors.

The Police officers took all the guns available in the station, took the ammunitions, the armours from their inventory and came back where the group was waiting for them.

The officers told everyone to follow them and took them to the top of the building .

They tried to block the way to the top using furnitures, chairs and whatever they could find to keep the Dead away.

The Dead started entering into the station, in no time the station was crowded with the Dead.

In the meantime, everyone were on their way to the top of the building.

A Police officer stopped he had a Pistol with him and he tried to shoot the dead.

The sound of the pistol was too loud, it dragged the Dead's attention in the Station and also from the Streets.

The Officer started shooting the Dead, but was of no use, they just keep coming, another officer named James came for help he pushed more furnitures on the stairs and pulled the officer back, but his legs got stuck.

The Dead were slowly approaching towards him, but he was safe as there were things which were blocking the stairs, the dead couldn't reach him, he tried to pull out his legs, James helped and the officer was released, they both ran towards the top of the building.

Everyone were waiting on the top with no idea how to get out from the building, just then James and the officer came to the top and informed that there are too many of them downstairs.

They had to find a wayout somehow, as the Dead were pushing their way up.

A Police officer handed over the weapons to some survivors who were with them and informed them do not shoot until it is not required, and also told them to aim for the head that is the only way to kill them.

They had to find a way out from the building, there were other buildings nearby but the distance was far and was not reachable.

Everyone tried to search for something which can get them on the other side of the building, they tried to look out for something like ropes, pipes whatever they could find which can be useful to get them out.

But the Dead were already on the stairs, some Police officers went towards them and tried to hold them back till they could find something to escape.

The officers shouted, please hurry up we do not have much time left, till they reach to the top, they shooted down the Dead but there were too many of them.

A person from the group of survivors found a ladder on the top and he shouted I found a ladder, now we can get to the other side of the building.

James (Police officer) took the ladder and placed to the other end of the building and told the people to get on the other side, Hurry up!!!

They started going to the other side one by one, James shouted be careful and do not look down.

Many of them had reached the other building with the help of the ladder.

The left one's were Jack, his father and some Police officers...

The things blocking the stairs couldn't hold for too long and the Dead were walking slowly to the top.

The Dead had reached the top, the officers tried to shoot down the Dead but there were too many of them to handle.

Jack's Dad holded Jack's hands and told him to go to the other side of the building.

Jack: Dad I am not going without you...

Jack's Dad (Thomas) replied: You have to go son, I am next to you now hurry up we don't have time for this conversation.

Jack was trying to go to the other side, but he didn't stop looking back for his Dad, his legs slipped the ladder was hanging to the other side of the building.

Jack's friends: Shouted calling by his name Jaaaack......

Jack's Mom (Maria): Nooooo.... started crying

Jack was hanging in the ladder crying...
