Chapter four

Arielle: I forced the tears away, wiping my face before looking up when she ordered every girl to look up. Elene arched a brow at me because I was still the last person to arrive. "You're late. Five minutes elsapsed two minutes ago, so no food for you." The girls snorted a laughter while I sighed. Elene began sharing our duties, listing out our placements for the moonlight festival. Everyone was expected to done with their chores, dressed in black and at the venu once it clocked three. She handed out black baggy gowns to us all, giving me a dirty look when it got to my turn. She made a comment about my stupid family turning a supposed happy day to a dreary day. I looked away from her, fiddling with the edge of my gown. I couldn't stand the tension that sat in the air. I wished I could just scream at them for solely blaming me for something I wasn't even aware of till yesterday but I was in no position to do so. She dismissed us and instructed me to follow behind a certain blonde. I was led to the large kitchen and told to start doing the dishes. My mouth nearly dropped open at the amount of dirty dishes and pots stacked on the sink, waiting for me to wash them. After doing the dishes, I was assigned bathrooms to scrub and I nearly threw up when I saw the staff toilet. It was utterly disgusting but I didn't have a choice. I got on my knees and began cleaning. When I was done, I was taken to another bathroom to clean and I was sincerely grateful that it wasn't as dirty as the other one. After that, I was asked to take out all the trash in the building and take them to the incinerator where they got burnt. Leah, the blonde in charge of getting acquainted with the various buildings, had fun taking her precious time therefore making me late. I was sure Elene was getting fed up with me. By the time I was done, it was almost three and all the girls were hurrying to get dressed. I took my bath in the little bathroom stall that Elene said was mine, quickly put on my black gown that gave me no fitting at all. I looked awful but there was nothing I could do about it. I could hear Elene yelling instructions at the other girls in charge of setting up, requesting the rest of us to rush down and help out. The festival officially began by 4pm and everything needed to top-notch. I brushed my messy hair with my fingers, throwing it into a messy bun before running out to meet up with the rest of the girls. **** "Take some plates to the guests by the left." Elene instructed me. I nodded, carefully picking up the tray, maneuvering my way through the crowds of people, being careful not to throw down my tray or bump into anyone or worse, bump into someone and throw food on them. The triplets were very thorough with making sure I was worked to my bones. I couldn't count how many times I had served them and they rejected it with some excuse, ordering me to get another meal for them. I arrived at the guests I was to serve and gently placed the tray on their table. I smiled politely as I excused myself. The moon was going to rise any minute and it was expected to be a full moon. My birthday would be in a few hours and I would finally get to meet my mate along with my wolf and I couldn't wait. I was taking a tray full of wine glasses to the triplets when the bright rays of the moon peeked from the clouds. My body shook and a tingling sensation erupted in my body, making me shudder as my heart beats accelerated. A sweet scent of earth and sandalwood, honey and lavender, vanilla and cinnamon, hovered in the air, teasing my senses. It was the most beautiful scent I'd ever perceived. I sniffed the air and so did the triplets and I felt like fate was mocking me when I figured out they were the source of that lovely smell. We stood, staring at each other in shock. I couldn't believe it and neither could they. One of them storms to me angrily and grabs my face, baring his canines at me. His siblings shared the same expression as they bored a hole into my body with their death glares. I winced as his fingers dug into my jaw, bringing tears to my eyes. "Please, you're hurting me." "Let's get this over with. I, Damien Woods, heir to the Silverstone pack… "I, Draven Woods, heir to the Silverstone pack…" "I, Drew Woods, heir to the Silverstone pack…" They all began at the same time, each taking menacing steps towards me, my heart rate accelerated at what was to come. "P-please don't…" "Reject you…" they spoke in sync. I looked around, feeling eyes on me. The music had stopped as their temper outburst garnered attention. "Arielle Forrester, as my mate and future Luna of this pack!" My heart shattered to pieces as a searing pain attacked my heart. "You're trash, the unfortunate daughter of a murderer and you have no place here let alone as a woman fit to rule by my side." Draven growled, pushing me to the floor. I felt liquid fall on my hair as I gasped. Damien grinned as he dropped the now emptied glass on a table. I wiped my face, feeling tears sting my eyes at the sight of red wine. I couldn't take the humiliation and ran away to my room, ignoring the sick laughter. I just wanted it all to end. I slammed the door behind me, sliding down the door with the tears falling freely from my eyes. I gently picked myself up, staring at my dejected reflection. I didn't do anything to deserve this. I had never hurt anyone yet I was being treated like pure s**t. I didn't know how long I stood crying but the loud banging of my door jolted me away from my misery. I turned and found Draven in front of my door. He let himself in and Damien and Drew followed behind. Drew seized my arms, pinning me against the wall before I could run away. He ran an extended claw down the injury his dad had given me on my cheek. "We might not want you as a mate but we can't deny you're quite a beauty and it would be a shame to pass on a chance to taste you." What? My brows furrowed in confusion. "So here's what we decided, you'd be our little s*x slave, satisfying our every need." He grabbed my breast, squeezing it roughly. "No! That's not what I want." I said in-between tears, hating how his touch was affecting me. Damien chuckled from his position on my bed, "you really don't have a choice. And when we're done with you, we'll kill you just like we killed your bastard father." My heart sank as I soaked in his words. His eyes flashed gold as his claws extended. I knew he wasn't joking, he was f*****g serious. They all were.
