Arielle:
My rapid breaths could be heard in the room as I engaged in a staring contest with the mystery man. He towered over me easily with his tall height and massive bulk that accentuated his intimidating aura.
He squinted his eyes at me before calling me stupid and delusional for standing my ground. "Do you think my brothers and I came all the way here for him just for nothing? Do you think we're stupid?"
I threw my face away from his reaching hands, unwilling to continue looking at him. "He didn't kill anyone, you're lying. My dad can't even hurt a fly let alone kill someone."
"But he did, and we have evidence to back it up. We're going to show it, then kill him and take you with us. Who knew he had such a prized possession."
"No, please… let her go. She has no hand in this." I heard my dad scream.
Has no hand in this? What was he talking about? I faced my dad but my head was pulled back by a rough hand grabbing my face. The blue-eyed man brought out a phone from his pocket and shoved it in my face.
"Tap on play." He rasped.
I hesitantly did what he told me and focused on the video. It was a security footage and it showed a man blending with the shadows in a car park, moving with a gun in his hands.
He leaned by a car that was parked close to a pole, c****d his gun before gently approaching another black car. He was dressed as a security guard and knocked subtly on the window. When the window got rolled down, two shots were fired. He tossed the gun into his back pocket, walking away like nothing had happened.
He looked up and my heart froze because that right there was my father. The phone fell out of my hands and I took a sharp inhale, shaky breaths leaving my mouth as I took a step back.
It couldn't be. My father couldn't possibly be an assassin. There was probably a mistake somewhere… Perhaps the video was faked or something. I refused to believe he was the one that mercilessly fired those bullets without emotions.
"No, no, no. There has to be a mistake somewhere. My father is no killer." My body trembled as a certain chill ran down my spine.
My father came into sight and he looked away from me. My heart shattered. His expression said it all, it was true. Everything the man was saying was true.
"W-why?" It was the only question that could fall out of my lips.
Another man laughed, "because he's a cold-blooded killer, that's why. He gets paid to kill people."
"And we're going to kill him." Said another.
I barely had enough time to register what he had said and object because the next thing I saw was extended claws swiping at my father's neck. It happened too fast, I couldn't grasp it. The only thing I could see was the red liquid pouring down from my dad's neck as he gurgled. His neck was sliced open and it was a horrific sight. He turned to me with apologetic eyes before collapsing to the floor.
My heart beat slowed, I could hear it echoing in my head. The slow thumps as my mouth hung open, time slowed as the event that happened a couple minutes ago replayed in my head over and over again. He didn't… They didn't…
"No!" A soul piercing scream tore through my neck, as my pain flowed from the broken dam.
Tears trailed down my eyes as I tried to run to my father, I wanted him to wake up. He wasn't dead right? It was all a big misunderstanding.
My arm was caught by another who looked just like the blue-eyed man as I was merely inches away from my dad, "and where do you think you're going?"
I trashed in his hold, screaming and fighting to break loose. My heart was bleeding as sorrow claw at the beating organ. I had only his collapsed body in sight. I needed to hold him, I needed to feel him… why weren't they letting me go?
"You're coming with us, little one. You'd make a fine slave." Said another.
One of three identical men snapped his fingers and a guard picked me up and threw my struggling self over his shoulder. I banged my fists on his bag, screaming my lungs out as they took me out of the house.
I saw a black range rover drive up to my house and a man in a suit stepped out, opening the back seat for the three men. Another sleek black car pulled up and a man stepped out, standing by the opened back door.
I could see people standing around, watching in shock as the scary men took me away. They didn't even try to help, they just stood watching.
My cries were making my throat sore but I didn't care. I was hurting.
"Let her go."
My cries paused upon hearing that very voice that I had always loved. I tried to get the asshole hoisting me up to put me down but instead, his hold tightened, nearly crushing my ribs.
"Who are you that dares challenge us?" A triplet asked.
Blake stared at me lovingly, silently promising to get me out of this. I sniffled, shaking my head disapprovingly. I didn't want him getting entangled in what he didn't know anything about. He could get severely injured or worse, killed. Mercy didn't exist in their dictionary.
"Move aside or I'd kill you." Gritted one.
Blake stood his ground, enlisting a gasp from everyone that stood as an audience.
The man that threatened Blake stepped forward, "I said move!"
Blake sucked in a breath, looking him in the eye, "I'm not going to let you take her."
"Blake, don't do it please!" I begged.
"Move!" He growled, his eyes flashing gold.
"Put her down!" Blake growled as well.
Blake didn't have a wolf yet despite being older than I was but he had hope that things would be different once the ceremony tomorrow would be concluded. He was turning nineteen and was hoping the legend of finding your mate made your wolf surface.
Those men were strong and without a wolf, Blake stood no chance. I didn't want him getting hurt because of me.
"Blake stop!" I yelled.
"I'm not going to let them take you." The determination in his voice made me cry.
I appreciated his love for me but I could smell the murderous intent and determination from the man he was challenging.
"Then so be it." He said.
I gasped loudly as I witnessed the fight between beast and man. The triplet had a claw extended, his eyes flashing gold as he charged at Blake. Blake dodge but not successfully because his ribs got scratched.
He charged again at Blake but Blake was quick enough to evade and land a punch to his nose. A guttural growl resounded as he charged again at Blake, this time faster than before. I wanted to scream for Blake to watch out but I couldn't even get the first word out when I heard him gasp as a claw went through his heart.
My head spun as I watched Blake choke on his blood before sinking to his knees. I couldn't speak, not a sound could leave my lips. They killed him… they f*****g killed him.
My heart was unable to process the news, I felt frozen and I didn't even notice myself get hurled in the car. My eyes remained on Blake who was lying in his pool of blood in front of my house.
"Drive." I heard one say and my heart sank even more.
Where were they taking me?
