On Our Wedding Day

1546 Words
Madison and Jack had been planning their wedding day for months. They had chosen the perfect venue, picked out the most beautiful flowers, and selected the perfect menu for their guests. The day had finally arrived, and Madison was getting ready in her bridal suite with her bridesmaids. "Are you nervous, Madison?" asked her best friend, Sarah. "A little bit," Madison admitted. "But mostly, I'm just excited. I can't wait to marry Jack." "You two are so perfect for each other," Sarah said with a smile. "I've never seen two people so in love." Madison smiled, feeling grateful for her friends' support. As she finished getting ready, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the ceremony. Meanwhile, Jack was getting ready with his groomsmen. "You look sharp, man," said his best friend, Justine. "Thanks," Jack replied, adjusting his tie. "I'm just ready to see Madison. I feel like I've been waiting for this day forever." The groomsmen laughed and offered Jack words of encouragement as they finished getting ready. Soon enough, it was time for the ceremony. Madison stood nervously at the back of the church, her heart beating fast as she prepared to walk down the aisle. She could hear the soft strains of a song playing in the background, and she recognized it as "If You're Not The One" by Daniel Bedingfield. Jack, her groom, stood at the altar, waiting for her. As the music grew louder, he felt a lump in his throat. This was the moment he had been waiting for, and he couldn't believe it was finally here. As Madison began to walk down the aisle, her eyes locked with Jack's. He felt his breath catch in his chest as he saw her in her beautiful white dress, and he knew that he was the luckiest man in the world. "If You're Not The One" continued to play softly in the background as Madison made her way towards him. The lyrics of the song seemed to perfectly capture the emotions that Jack was feeling in that moment: Author's Note: Please play this song while reading to be more realistic. If you're not the one then why does my soul feel glad today? If you're not the one then why does my hand fit yours this way? If you are not mine then why does your heart return my call? If you are not mine would I have the strength to stand at all? I never know what the future brings, But I know you are here with me now, We'll make it through, And I hope you are the one I share my life with I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand, If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am? Is there any way that I can stay in your arms? If I don't need you then why am I crying on my bed? If I don't need you then why does your name resound in my head? If you're not for me then why does this distance m**m my life? If you're not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife? I don't know why you're so far away, But I know that this much is true, We'll make it through, And I hope you are the one I share my life with, And I wish that you could be the one I die with, And I pray in you're the one I build my home with, I hope I love you all my life I don't want to run away but I can't take it , I don't understand, If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am? Is there any way that I can stay in your arms? 'Cause I miss you body and soul so strong that it takes my breath away, And I breathe you into my heart and pray for the strength to stand today, 'Cause I love you, whether it's wrong or right, And though I can't be with you tonight, You know my heart is by your side I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand, If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am? Is there any way I can stay in your arms? As Madison reached the altar, Jack took her hand and squeezed it tightly. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at her, and he knew that he was exactly where he was meant to be. "Do you, Madison, take Jack to be your lawfully wedded husband?" asked the officiant. "I do," Madison replied, beaming. "And do you, Jack, take Madison to be your lawfully wedded wife?" "I do," Jack replied, his voice steady. The ceremony was beautiful, with heartfelt vows and touching readings from family members. Madison and Jack exchanged rings and sealed their marriage with a kiss, and the crowd erupted into cheers as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife. At the reception, Madison and Jack danced their first dance as a married couple. "I love you," Jack whispered in her ear. "I love you too," Madison replied, feeling overwhelmed with emotion. The rest of the night was a blur of laughter, tears, and joy as the couple celebrated with their friends and family. They cut the cake, tossed the bouquet and garter, and danced the night away. As the night drew to a close, Madison and Jack said goodbye to their guests and headed back to their hotel room. They collapsed onto the bed, exhausted but happy. "I can't believe we're married," Madison said, snuggling up to Jack. "I know," Jack replied, kissing her forehead. "I'm so grateful to have you in my life. I can't wait to spend the rest of it with you." Madison smiled, feeling content and complete. She knew that this was just the beginning of their journey together, and she couldn't wait to see where life would take them. As they drifted off to sleep, Madison could hear the faint sound of music and laughter from the reception downstairs. She smiled to herself, feeling grateful for the love and support of their friends and family on their special day. ..... After three years of marriage, Madison and Jack were overjoyed to welcome their first child, a son named Daniel. They were both thrilled to become parents and were excited to see what the future held for their growing family. As they settled into their new roles as mom and dad, Madison and Jack marveled at how much their lives had changed since their wedding day. They had both grown so much as individuals, as partners, and now as parents. "Can you believe he's ours?" Madison asked Jack as they gazed down at their sleeping newborn. Jack smiled, feeling overwhelmed with love for his wife and son. "I feel like the luckiest man in the world," he said. Over the next few months, Madison and Jack adjusted to their new routine as parents. They took turns getting up in the middle of the night to tend to their son's needs, and they spent countless hours snuggling and playing with him during the day. As Daniel grew and developed, Madison and Jack couldn't help but feel proud of every new milestone he reached. They watched in amazement as their tiny baby became a little boy, crawling, walking, and talking. "Can you believe how fast he's growing?" Madison asked Jack one day as they watched Daniel play with his toys. "It feels like just yesterday he was born," Jack replied, shaking his head in disbelief. As Daniel's second birthday approached, Madison and Jack decided to throw a big party to celebrate. They invited all of their friends and family, and the house was filled with balloons, presents, and laughter. As the party got underway, Madison and Jack watched as Daniel played with his friends, his face lit up with joy. They couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and support of their community, and for the beautiful family that they had created together. "You know," Madison said to Jack as they watched their son blow out the candles on his cake, "I can't imagine my life without you and Daniel." Jack smiled and took her hand. "Me neither," he said. "I love you both so much." As the party wound down and their guests began to say their goodbyes, Madison and Jack tucked Daniel into bed and sat down together on the couch. They talked about the past two years, all of the ups and downs, the joys and the challenges. "I'm so glad that we have each other," Madison said, resting her head on Jack's shoulder. "Me too," Jack replied, wrapping his arm around her. "I can't wait to see what the future holds for us." As they sat there together, surrounded by the love and warmth of their family, Madison and Jack knew that no matter what challenges might come their way, they would always face them together, as a team, with love and support for each other and for their son, Daniel.
