As Maggie had told them, they found Cole sitting on a lounge chair by the pool, the whiskey decanter beside him. Joel quickly moved and intercepted Maggie and Charles before they could confront the young man. On the walk through the Weston house, Joel had come up with an idea he thought might work. And it would keep Charles and Maggie out of the discussion, keeping Britney from ever having hard feelings against the two of them. "Hey, Cole. I"ve been looking for you," Joel told the younger man. Cole looked up at the three of them, his eyes slightly glazed from the whiskey. That seemed to be the only outward effect of the liquor because when he spoke his words were still clear. "Yeah?
