Nova sat on the worn couch, absentmindedly running a hand over her belly. The night was quiet, too quiet, and it left an uneasy feeling in her gut. Sienna was in the kitchen, rummaging through the cabinets for something sweet. "I swear, you never have any good snacks," Sienna called out. "How do you survive out here with just herbal tea and dried fruit?" Nova chuckled. "Kade usually brings stuff when he visits. I wasn’t exactly thinking about junk food when I stocked up." Sienna huffed. "Well, I’m making it my mission to fix that next time I come." She paused. "Also, we should probably do a perimeter check before we settle in." Nova tensed. "Did you hear something?" Sienna hesitated before stepping into the living room, her eyes sharp. "Not exactly. But the forest feels... off tonight
