Viviana watched Charlie drive away, her chest heaving up and down as she tried to process what had just happened.
Slowly she turned to look at Matteo who was wiping the blood from his lip as he rubbed his jaw. She stared at him silently for a minute and he caught her glare. Viviana was beyond livid. She shook her head gently and moved, making her way around Matteo and towards her apartment building.
Matteo looked at Viviana- She was angry, he could tell. As she walked by him, he reached out and pulled her arm, turning her back towards him.
"Vivi-" he began but he felt a blow to his face.
Viviana slapped Matteo as hard as she could, once and then a second time, making him release her. Matteo brought his hand to his face.
