In the dimly lit laboratory, Augustine sat across from Aeron, who was securely strapped to a machine. The air hummed with an undercurrent of tension as Augustine nervously tapped his feet on the cold floor, his eyes fixed intently on Aeron.
Abruptly standing, Augustine approached Aeron with a sinister gleam in his eyes. "So, here's what we'll do," he declared, leaning in closer. "I'll give you the antidote to the neutralizer I have on you, and you'll mindlink Myra, telling her that you're no longer interested in having anything to do with her. You're leaving for good."
Aeron's gaze bore into Augustine's, defiance etched across his face. "There's no way I'm doing that," he asserted.
