Chapter 45— Almost Time.
As Augustine stepped out of the monitor room, a sinister grin crept across his face, giving an ominous edge to his features.
He sauntered into his dimly lit bedroom and found two additional versions of himself standing motionless. A chilling glint of triumph flickered in his eyes as he raised the remote in his hand and pressed a button. Instantly, the two clones powered down, their artificial life force ceasing with a soft hum.
Augustine burst into a maniacal laugh, his twisted laughter echoing off the walls as he reveled in the success of his nefarious plan.
