Aeron jolted awake from the nightmare, his heart racing and sweat coating his skin. He gasped for breath, his mind still reeling from the vivid images that tormented him.
In the dream, he had seen Myra, his beloved, drowning in a pool. Fear had coursed through his veins, and he had sprinted to help her, only to be stopped by a sudden, searing pain in his chest.
