Chapter 24: My girl
After finishing up at the bank Kai and I drove to the dog park not to far away. Once we got her out of the car and clipped the leash to her small collar we set off down the small walkway following the sounds of other animals. Kai and I found a bench near a bush and sat down, we let Artemis off her leash with her toy skunk and she began shaking it like she was trying to kill the fake animal. I pulled my knees put to my chest and leaned into Kai's side, he put his left arm around my shoulder and kissed my temple as we watched our puppy get approached by a large rottweiler. She barked up at it and refused to submit to the large creature, growling and snapping at it when it tried to smell her butt. I whistled, calling her back to us before things went awry.
