Chapter 5

*Topanga's POV*

I tried to get up but I felt like I was stuck. I slowly move trying to get out but I hear "Little one if you don't stop moving Jacks is going to wake up." I freeze hearing Chris' voice. "What are you doing in my sons room Chris and let me up damnit." He slowly gets up and I untangle myself from Cade and Jacks. We slowly make our way out of the room. "Now tell me what the hell are you doing in my sons room." I look at him with my hand on my hip. He smirks and leans in " My love we were worried about you last night and when we tried to move you, you started to wake up." 

 I sighed as we walked to my room. "I don't appreciate you guys coming into my sons room and sleeping with us." I say to him. "Look we were worried about you and we needed to make sure you were okay. What happened last night everything was okay then all of a sudden you became nervous and scared." He looks at me with so much worry in his eyes. "Look everything is fine there is no need. Now if you excuse me I have to take a shower and  get ready for my day." I say to him and open my door trying to get away from him as soon as possible. I put my shoes down and strip from my clothes hopping in the shower. 

I get out of the shower and wrap a fluffy towel around my body and hair. I walk out into my room not realizing that there was someone in there. I go into my closet picking out something to wear. I flash some clothes on and walk out and freeze as I see Cade sitting on my bed. "Umm what are you doing in here?" I ask him and he looks up to me and says "I needed to know you were okay and what was that flash from inside your closet." 

I look around acting stupid. How can I be so careless? Ughh I am an i***t. "What flash are you talking about." I look anywhere but him. "The flash inside your closet Topanga don't play stupid what is going on?" I sigh and look at him. "Look Cade if there was something you need to know I would tell you. Okay so just let it go and I am alright. Now I am going to go spend some time with my son." With that I walk out of the room. 

Downstairs I walk into the dining room and see my handsome little man eating breakfast. "Hi mama come sit with me." He says to me and I walk over to him and one of the young she-wolves brings a plate of food and sets it in front of me. "Luna here is your breakfast." She says and bows her head and walks away after I thanked her. I look up to find everyone staring at me. "What is the matter?" I ask shyly. Kat stands up and walks over to me and starts sniffing me while everyone is sniffing the air. "You smell different." she says getting closer. I started to get nervous. "What do you mean?" Jacks pulled my hand and said "Mama I think we both are smelling different look." I look around and see everyone staring at me and Jacks.

"What is that smell?" Chris said walking in. They walk over to me and started sniffing me. I started to get nervous and pushed them back grabbed Jacks hand and ran out of the room. We went into my room while I looked through my grimoire to look for the spell to mash my scent. I put a force field around our room so no one gets in. I heard Cade and Chris at the door asking me to let them in. "Finally I found it." I look over to Jacks he knows that I need to do this to protect us. "Et abscondite nos sumus odor masking" I say. It means hide who we are by masking our scent. 

I bring the force field down and let the twins in. "Are you alright what happened." they said at the same time and then sniffed the air. "I am fine I just get nervous around all of the wolves sniffing around me. Sorry for running off." They both look at me like I am hiding something. "Alright well why did you smell different downstairs." I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know that's weird." I tried to play it off like I had no idea what they were talking about. They nodded their head and said "Well we are gonna go downstairs don't stay up here to long you need to eat something." I nodded my head. 

After they left I sat on my bed and Jacks came up and sat down next to me. "Mama why cant we just tell them the truth about us?" I sigh "They really like you mama and I want them apart of our lives mama. Please just give them a chance and let them in. You have been alone for a long time it is time you let them in mama." he kissed my cheek and left me alone with my thoughts. How can a five year old know more then I do ughh. I lay back on my bed how can I be so stupid. I know Jackson is right but I do not want to open up and get hurt again. 

*Cade's POV*

We are sitting at the dining room table eating when Jacks came down to eat. "Hey little man how is you mom." I ask him. He sighs and says "She will be fine. Once she is able to open up." he said the last part more to himself. I am pretty sure we were not meant to hear that last part. "Jacks how would you like to see something really cool after breakfast." Chris says to him. He nods his head excitedly. 

After we are all done eating I am worried because Topanga still hasn't come down. I sigh and go outside with Chris and Jacks. "Dude what are you planning on showing him." I ask Chris. "I am going to show him my wolf. How about you do you want to show him yours." I shrugged my shoulders and followed them. 

"Well what are you going to show me." Jacks said to him. He looks so adorable right now. "Now when we show you this promise not to freak out." he nods his head getting more excited. Chris shifts into Snow. I watch as Jacks eyes light up with excitement. "Your wolfie is amazing." he says as he walks up to Storm. Storm went up to Jacks and started sniffing him he immediately recognized Jacks as his pups because he started licking his face. I shifted into Ice and we all started playing "Cade do you smell that?" Ice said. 

I sniff trying to figure out what he meant. "Ice what do you smell?" I ask him. He waited a few seconds before answering. "Our pup he smells like a pup and something else I don't know." he says and I walk over to Jacks and sniff him while he is petting me. He smells like part wolf and part witch. I quickly run behind a tree and shift throwing on a pair of shorts. I come from behind the tree and went inside to find Topanga. 

I ran up the stairs trying to find her. I went to her room and knocked but didn't get an answer. I opened the door and didn't find her in her room. I ran back downstairs still looking for her. "Ouch What the hell is wrong with you." I look down to see Topanga on the floor. "I'm sorry but I need to ask you something." She looks up to me while I help her up. "Sure what's up." She looks at me. "Umm is Jacks a werewolf/witch hybrid? And are you a witch?"
