Propose marriage

Sophia's POV When I woke up, the sky was already bright, and the sun shone warmly into the white and spacious ward, as if to break all the haze. I tried to sit up and understand this unfamiliar environment. "Where am I?" "Oh, Sophia, you are still very weak now. Don't be so anxious." I unexpectedly found Tiffany carrying a chicken soup and cheese sandwich. No need to think, my current expression must be very weak. "Shame of you. Such a big thing happened. Why didn't you tell me? Are we still best friends? Let's eat something first." she put down the food and helped me adjust the position of the bed so that I could eat with a spoon easily. She looked at me angrily and handed the food into my hand. "I'm afraid you're worried." I blinked at her and said playfully. Then I felt confused, "I didn't tell you, Tiffany, how did you know who brought me to the hospital? " "It's me." The gentle voice of the gentleman came from the door. My eyes widened in surprise, it was him, the man from the night before! No, he's still Steven's uncle! I was in shock and wanted to sit up from the bed, but my body was too weak, and I began to sweat on my forehead. The man strode over, bent slightly, held my arm, helped me up, and gave me a pillow to lean on. Tiffany's eyes on the side were flowing between the two of us, gossipy and ambiguous. She said briskly: "Then you guys talk first, and I'll go out and ask the doctor about the situation." After that, she ignored my look for help and ran away. I had no choice but to pretend to be stupid, hoping to get through: "Haha, it turns out you saved me, sir. Thank you very much. I'm fine now. If you need anything, just go and do it. Don't worry about me." He did not listen to my wishes, straightened the tie on his chest, crossed his legs and sat on the sofa next to the bed, "Miss Sophia, have you forgotten me so soon? We had a wonderful night. Please let me formally introduce myself." As he spoke, a slight smile appeared on his lips, and his blue eyes stared at me closely, carefully capturing my every moment of reaction: "I am Austin Adler, Steven Adler's uncle. A little bit, you must have heard it that morning." With gauze wrapped around my head, I reacted slowly and didn't understand what he meant for a moment. Then, when I met his half-smiling gaze, I suddenly wanted to fall into a coma again. God, he knows everything, but I am still pretending to be unfamiliar in front of him. I really want to dig a hole and crawl in now! All I could think about was how to remedy the situation, but suddenly I heard Austin ask again: "Don't you pretend anymore?" I nodded stiffly: "Well, Mr. Austin, I'm sorry to disturb you that night. If you can, just pretend that we don't know each other and nothing happened that night." The man bends over, his hands supporting me on either side, enveloping me entirely within his domain. At such proximity, I distinctly smelled the faint cool pine scent on his body. "But I think you are responsible to me. I haven't touched anyone else, but last night you were quite passionate, making it hard for me to refuse." He breathed ambiguously, and the sudden shortened distances made my heart race. No, I can't be seduced by male beauty. "Mr. Austin, but we only met once, and I was once the girlfriend of your nephew... How do you want me to take responsibility?" A smile flickered at Mr. Austin's blue eyes. "Let's get married, how about it?" He showed off the silver ring on his middle finger, which he had been wearing since that night. "Ah?" I didn't expect Austin to propose directly. I felt a little ashamed to see the ring, feeling puzzled at the same time: "Why did you bring up... the matter of marriage? Families like yours should find a suitable young lady, shouldn't you?" Austin raised his hand, held the right side of my face with his slender fingers, rubbed my cheek gently with his thumb, and said softly, "I'm not Steven. I make the decision on my marriage. I really mean it when I say I want to marry you." "As for why, first, I'm in my thirties, and my family is urging me to get married, and it just so happens that I fell in love with you at first sight and want to spend the rest of my life with you; secondly, by marrying me, you have found the biggest supporter, and no one will dare to bully you in the future. Finally..." Speaking of this, he smiled jokingly, "Do you want to take revenge on Steven? If you marry me, you will be his elder. When he sees you, he will respectfully call you aunt. How do you want to deal with him? It will be all right." It is undeniable that these conditions are really tempting, and my heart is pounding, but I do not really believe the first point. Thinking of this, I curled my lips, and I did not realize that I had relaxed a lot in front of Austin. Austin looked at my colorful changes of expressions and couldn't help but touching my head: "If you don't believe it, give me a month and let me prove it to you. After one month, it's up to you to decide whether you agree to me or not." I looked at the handsome face of the man in front of me, the wrinkled sheet in my hand. I didn't know if it was the right choice to entrust my fate to another man, and besides, I was not clear about what his real purpose was, but..it would be a good idea to give it a try, and that I had found a chance of survival. "Okay." I heard myself whisper. "Then you should recover well first. I will help you solve the ban on your company that Steven has issued. After you recover, you can come back and run the company normally. As for Steven, I won't let him have the opportunity to disturb you." Austin's eyes flashed with such cruelty that no one could notice, anyone who hurts Sophia must pay the price. I nodded obediently. I have to say that it feels wonderful to have someone as a backer. After Austin left, Tiffany appeared immediately and winked at me, "How about it, Sophia, you are loyal enough. Men, if the old ones don't go away, the new ones won't come in. If you get along well, you can take care of Steven in the future. b***h!" Tiffany clenched her fists angrily. "f**k you, you just want to sell me out." I laughed and threw the pillow at her. The big stone blocking my heart finally fell to the ground. On the other side, the black Maybach was driving silently on the road. Austin picked up the phone and dialed, his blue eyes flashing brightly and darkly.
