I wasn’t entirely sure about what Kieran was saying, but if he believed it was right, then I had to trust him. He had led us through battles, through impossible situations, and somehow, we had made it through. That had to count for something.
When we finally arrived back at the pack house, most of the pack members had already gone to bed. The house was quiet, peaceful, and for the first time in what felt like forever, there was no immediate danger lurking in the shadows.
