I woke up feeling exhausted, like my entire body had been weighed down by heavy stones. My limbs felt heavy. The sky outside had darkened. Evening had come while I was unconscious. I had no idea how long I had been out, but my body had clearly needed the rest.
As soon as I opened my eyes, my vision was perfectly fine. Usually, when I woke up after being in the dark for so long, my eyes needed a moment to adjust to the light. But this time, there was no need. Everything was clear. Everything was normal.
Or at least, it felt normal.
