The wind was cool against my face as the bike sped down the quiet forest road, but all I could feel was her.
Aria.
Her arms were wrapped tightly around my torso, her chin brushing my shoulder every now and then when the road curved just slightly. She was so close I could feel the rise and fall of her chest with every breath. My hands gripped the handlebars, but my mind, my mind was still back there, by the lake, where her lips had touched mine for the first time.
I had been scared. Not of her, never of her. But scared of what it meant to want her so badly, of how deeply she had already sunk her way into me.
