Kai turned to me again. This time he didn’t say anything as he watched me. Something glittered in those blue eyes and I looked away feeling a bit of heat in my cheeks and my skin prickled.
“I knew it,” he said, his voice filled with amusement. “You thought about me. All day. You were wondering if I was still mad at you from yesterday. You know for a stray who claims to hate ravens, you were utterly concerned about my feelings for you.”
Then he chuckled when I scoffed and glared at him, leaning back in that seat of his so arrogantly. I wanted to reach out and smack him in the face.
“Look at you now, sitting across from me like you didn’t dream of punching me in the face—”
“You’re right about that.” I chipped in when Kai laughed again.
“—and kissing me right after.”
