I continue running as fast as my weak and beaten body will allow even after I passed the boarder that marked the end of blood moons territory. I know as soon as Dave wakes up he will have every tracker available out after me. For one he's probably ticked I was able to take him down, and for two he knows Alpha Judson will kill him when he finds out I escaped on his watch.

I can feel all of my muscles screaming for a break. I haven't been able to do anything since being trapped in that cell and my muscles are letting me know just how out of shape they now are. After another hour of running I slow to a walk and pant heavily trying to catch my breath. I need to find food and water, and possibly some clothes. all I have on is a filthy rag dress that just barely covers my butt. the Alpha didn't see the need to give me proper clothing as they just got torn off of me.

'we need to keep moving little one. There is a storm coming' I hear inside my head and recognize it as Alou.

'Alou is that you?' I ask inside my head giddily. I haven't been able to hear her much since we were always shackled with silver.It cut off our connection.

'Yes it's me, little one I'm glad to be able to talk again. But right now you need to keep moving. there is a storm coming. It will hide our sent from the trackers but we still need to put more distance between us and their territory. it will be harder to find us that way' I nodded understanding what she meant. we need to take advantage of the storm hiding out trail.

It has been a few hours now and it is a complete mess. The rain is coming down so hard it stings my skin and is blurring my line of vision. the forest floor is complete mud and is making it hard to walk as is the wind. I need to keep moving but my body is giving out. We're tired and the storm is making it impossible to travel. I Continue to slowly make my way through the woods untill my body cold, tired and soaked gives out and I crash into the muddy forest floor.

I can hear Alou yelling inside my head telling me to get up but my body has had it. I can feel my eyes growing heavy as everything goes black.

New P.O.V

"Marcus its getting bad out here, we need to get back" I yell out to my son who is out on patrol with me. We are apart of the full moon pack and tonight was our turn to patrol the boarders. But now that the storm is raging all around us we are being called back to the pack house. no one is going to be out here tonight in this powerful storm. I'm in wolf form and it feels like the wind is going take me away at any moment. I yell out through the mind link for Marcus again wanting my son to be with me before I head back.

'Dad I found something. ' I finally hear him and am instantly worried.

'Son where are you?'

''Im at the northern border' and with that I'm running to him as fast as I can in the poring rain. The mud is like suction cups trying to trap my paws as I run.But I force my feet to keep running to him not knowing what's happening with Marcus. I finally reach his position and see he is kneeling in his human form.

'What are you doing, trying to get yourself killed?' I ask ' Change back and let's go' I demand just as I see him pick something up and then realize that something was a someone.

'Dad she's hurt' I hear in my head and move closer to him and the girl in his arms. once I'm right in front of him I realize it is infact a young girl. probably no older than maturity if that. The girl seems to be unconscious and her breathing is shallow.

'Dad what do we do? She's definitely one of our kind' and I know he's right. I can smell the wolf on her, altho it is hard to see how hurt she is in this downpour.'Son hop on my back and hold onto her, we'll take her to the pack hospital and link the alpha' He nods his head and moves to hop on my back with the girl. as soon as they are on I take off back towards the pack house.i link the pack Dr. to let him know we are on the way and then link the Alpha'

'Alpha sir. we've found a young wolf on the northern boarder. I don't think she's one of ours but she's hurt, and she can't be any older then maybe eighteen. We're bringing her to the pack hospital'

'very well Howard, I will meet you there. Be careful out there' I cut the link and continue to run. A trip that should have taken fifteen minutes took close to an hour due to the storm. The Alpha and the pack doctor were waiting right outside the emergency doors when we arrived. Marcus hoped off my back with the girl still safely curled in his arms as I shifted back."Howard, here" said the alpha as he handed me a pair of sweat pants.

"Thank you sir!" I said as I slipped them on and followed him into the hospital after Marcus and the doctor.

"Howard what exactly happened?" Asked Alpha Richard.

"Well I was waiting for Marcus to meet me at the check point to head back since the storm was getting so intense. But he told me he found something on the northern border so I met him there and the girl was laying unconscious on the ground. She looked young and I didn't feel right about leaving her out there" I explained as we walked to where they had taken the girl.

"very well, let's go see what going on" he stated and walked into the triage area.

the Alpha is the first to speak as the doctor walks towards us as his team of nurses continues to work on the girl on the other side of the room.

"Dr. Maine what can you tell us about her so far? what is her condition?" Alpha Richard asked getting strait to the point.

"Well sir I can tell you she hasn't reached maturity yet. She's probably seventeen at the most" the doc states and then looks over to where the girl is currently obscured from view, surrounded by working nurses.

"How bad is it?" asked Alpha Richard clearly noticing the doctors hesitation.

"well the girls body is covers in scars, along with silver burns. And based off of the bruising all over her body including her thighs, we believe she has been raped sir, and more than once" the doctor speaks the last sentence softly, clearly feeling for the young girl. just looking at the Alpha I can tell he's trying to keep his rage in check.

Alpha Richards P.O.V.

The Doctor just informed us that the girl Marcus found in the woods isn't even of age maturity, and she has been tortured with silver, and has been raped repeatedly. I am trying to keep my wolf in check. He is ready to rip someone apart.

This type of stuff just pisses us off. This girl is barely old enough to shift. what could she have done to deserve this? I breath deep to calm myself and link my mom and dad.

"Hey I need you too down here in the pack hospital, we found a seventeen year old girl at the northern border. she's been abused. "

I can instantly feel their anger as they reply they are on their way.

"mom and dad are on their way down" I told them when I was a bit calmer "if she's been abused she may be afraid of talking to any of us about what happened. it might be good to have mom here for her as well" the doctor nods in agreement with this. Treating a women like this, especially a young woman is frowned upon. Especially in our community. she's young and if she didn't have full control over her wolf she stood no chance against a male werewolf. No chance at all.

I growl out in frustration and walk out of the medical room and into the hallway to pace back and forth. When I get like this I need my dad to talk me down. I've only been Alpha for two years now and I still need my dad's guidance from time to time. I'm only 23 and still learning how to keep my emotions in check when something like this happens.

My mate is currently away visiting her parents or she would have been here to talk me down.

I stop pacing when I see the doctor, Marcus and Howard exit the girls room. everyone looks even more upset than before I walked out. I give them a questioning look to ask what else they had found, but the doctor shook his head at me.

"I feel we should wait for your parents before I go over more of our findings young alpha. your already upset and I feel we should wait for back up just in case" he explains and I nod my head in understanding. so we all stand in the hallway waiting for my parents arrival. Thankfully a few minutes later I hear footsteps and look up to find my mom and dad running towards me.

My mom must see how ticked I am because she runs right up to me and embraces me in a loving hug. I sink into it and inhale her scent deeply to calm myself down. it may not work as well as my mate Maras scent would but it definitely helps. After a few more deep breaths I pull away.

"What's going on doc?" my father's asks. Doctor Maine takes a deep breath and then explains all of their findings.

"Well to start with I can confirm that the girl is indeed seventeen years old. Her wolf is present but she has not yet reached full maturity. It appears that she has been physically and sexually abused. she has severe scarring and fresh burns around her wrists probably from being shackled with silver" the doctor pauses giving everyone a moment to allow everything to sink in before he continues"Now based off of the multitude of scars and burns and the different stages of healing I would have to say this girl has been going through this for well over a year," and with that I'm turning around to punch the wall while my mom speaks in a quiet shaky voice .

"if it's been over a year that means she would have been sixteen when it started" Doctor Maine sadly nodded his head

" It appears that way, yes. based off the fact that her scars stand out so much I don't believe she had a wolf to help her heal for most of it"

"who would do this to a child?" my mom asked trying to steady her voice and keep me from losing it.

"That is something only she can tell us when she wakes up."

"When do you think that will be?" my father asked while pulling my now crying mom to his chest.

"It just depends. She's a bit malnourished and dehydrated but I would say after some much needed rest she should wake up in the next day or so" but just as he says this we all hear a crashing sound coming from the girls hospital room and screams for help as a nurse runs towards us screaming

" she's awake. She's awake"
