Chapter Four “What?” Daniel’s voice sounded odd. Mel had seen his eyes go blank, and then his pupils had flared wide and hot, right before he had looked down, seemingly fascinated by her business card. “What was what?” “Nothing,” she said after a moment, still a bit breathless. “Never mind.” Oh, but it wasn’t nothing. It had been arousal. Passion that sizzled through her and left things smoldering in its wake. She leaned over to look more closely at him.
