Samara couldn’t help herself. She giggled. Although, to be fair, it was more of a snort than a giggle. Her mother always said she sounded like a cross between a horse and a donkey when she laughed. She couldn’t help it though. Despite the fact that, for all intents and purposes, she’d just been kidn*pped by a group of cyborgs, hearing that that Corporal Hawkins had been shot in the ass just did it for her. The giggle looped and became unstoppable. Hilarity filled her until tears streamed down her cheeks and she was holding her sides to stop them from aching. Two sets of eyes—one green and one brown—looked at her in concern. Samara couldn’t do anything but laugh back at them, amused afresh that they were so concerned about her after they’d kidn*pped her. “Is she all right?” Archon frown
