~Bradley Steward~ Sitting nonchalantly in the high school dining hall, my tray of food in front of me, I leaned casually against the table, chatting with my friends about last night's game and our crushing victory : - I can't wait to play them again, this defeat... well, this trick, it's something I can't quite swallow," Cody said, shoving his salad fork into his mouth. - Two more games to go and we'll have them," added Ethan in a serious tone. - And to think that Alexander almost got kicked off the team because of them, I've never seen such devious opponents," blurted out Daniel, showing his resentment.I merely raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on my lips, a sign of my apparent disinterest in all this sporting drama. The guys could moan about their enemies, but here I was, quietly enjoying my meal without worrying about rivalries and feuds. My nonchalant attitude contrasted with the agitation of my friends, but that was how I lived my life, in permanent "I don't give a damn" mode. After all, no matter what the outcome of the next game, I was already ready to move on, unaffected by the tensions and rivalries that animated the school. - I'm going to get a refill," Jordan informs us as he rises from his chair, "would you like me to get you something, Bradley?" "Just water, thanks."My friend nods and heads for the counter. As he walks away, my eyes land on Kimberly, who is also heading for the counter, standing in the second queue. Jordan, absorbed in his thoughts, doesn't notice her. My gaze fixes on her long ponytail, which sways gracefully with every movement; she seems to be in her own bubble, far from the hustle and bustle of high school. The more I watch her, the more a wry smile appears on my face as I think back to last night. I recall the harsh words she hurled in my face after I gave her the most intense orgasm of her life in her bedroom. The hustle and bustle of the school continues to swirl around us, students crowding the halls, laughter and whispers echoing. Yet I stand there, detached from it all, my nonchalant attitude contrasting with the surrounding effervescence. Kimberly intrigues me, despite my apparent disinterest. Her mysterious aura and independent spirit attract me, even if I feign indifference. As my friend returns with my glass of water, I feel Kimberly's gaze upon me. A shiver runs down my spine, but I try to keep my mask of nonchalance on. Perhaps behind my "I don't give a damn" attitude lies a genuine interest in this girl who seems so different from the others, and despite my detached attitude, I'm not as indifferent to her charm as I seem.- Why are you smiling like a creep like that, Bradley?I didn't even realize I'd cracked a smile, but I'm sure my expression frowned in an instant as Daniel's words passed his lips. He waggled his red eyebrows at me nonchalantly, as if trying to make fun of me. But then, that's typical of him, this little game he likes to play so much.- Hey guys, I heard about a juicy little story with Kimberly in the locker room. Can anyone explain? hastens to articulate Kylian, who has just arrived, pulls up a chair and takes a seat next to me, paradoxically arching an eyebrow: - What happened? Asks Jordan, looking more interested than he should.- Yeah, I heard Kimberly set the locker room on fire, if you know what I mean. I heard it was hot and heavy," Ethan informs him.Cody lets out a casual laugh and glares at me nonchalantly. I can tell he doesn't like it when I talk to him, probably because he thinks I'm a son of a b***h who might break his heart. This moron knows what happened between me and her last night, well, at least he knows I spent the night at her place and had to hide under her bed this morning to avoid getting caught by her mother.Even if there was nothing concrete between us, we flirted outrageously last night, and I have to admit I didn't know I was capable of being so horny... and I've never taken so much pleasure in cunniling a girl. My detached attitude and carefree demeanor seem to annoy her, but I don't care. Cody can think what he wants, but I know I had a good time and I don't regret it. I'm the kind of guy who takes life as it comes, without worrying about other people's judgments.- By the way, you left with her last night. What were you up to? asks Alexander, who wasn't there but knows exactly what we're talking about, as if he's wired to hear what we're saying. He takes a seat next to Jordan and crosses his legs, watching us in turn.Jordan stares at me casually, barely concealing his annoyance:- Something that starts with B and ends with R, guess what? I blurt out with calculated nonchalance, knowing full well that he's going to have a field day, imagining far-fetched scenarios in his head. Because I know that the simple fact of having implicitly admitted that Kimberly interests me sharpens his curiosity. But for him, she's only interesting because I'm interested in her.- f**k?" Alexander teases, waggling his eyebrows, but stops when Jordan articulates almost annoyingly:- Cut the crap, Brad, last time I checked, she's in love with me.I roll my eyes theatrically, as if I'd seen this kind of scene a hundred times before. I clench my fists, but my face remains impassive, smirking.- She's not in love with you, man, she's in love with the image you give her. Besides, let's be honest... With your innocent little blond face, you're the perfect Prince Charming for her. But if she knew the truth about you, what a jerk you are...Jordan remains silent, preferring to give me a defiant look rather than reply. He rises from his chair with casual nonchalance, walking over to Kimberly who stands by the counter, waiting for her order. He places his hand on her shoulder, startling her slightly. She turns to him, a mixture of surprise and excitement in her eyes. Jordan gives her a charming smile and starts to tell her some bullshit that makes her laugh like an i***t.
