Cassandra was still lying on the bed while looking at the ceiling. He can hear Herdon snoring loudly. She didn't sleep well. It's her birthday today but her mind is not stable because of Clay.
When Herdon moved a little she closed her eyes. It's too early to get up especially with what she's feelin' right now. Then he felt Herdon's hand on her shoulders. He was trying to wake her up.
"Mmmm..." she pretended.
"Hey, happy birthday! Wake up now!" Herdon excitedly said and kissed her on the cheeks.
When Cassandra opened her eyes, Herdon noticed her tears.
"Are you crying?" Herdon creased.
"I-I'm j-just happy..." Cassandra replied stutteringly.
"Then don't cry if you are happy," Herdon wiped away her tears with his hand.
