Week 2 / Jaidens and Teddy

Once I’m out my apartment I walk to the nearest coffee shop I can find. Old sals next to my apartment shut down last week now I’m on the search for a new place. I hate Starbucks or costa as I don’t do well surrounded members of the public.

Ever since my break down in public at 18 years old I still have ptsd about it. I feel rage that people can just stand and watch as a kid collapses, as i struggles to breath they just watch and gossip. As my farther laughs and pushes me to get up because I’m embracing him.

Half way to Jackie’s office I notice a new little coffee shop and decided to hit it up as it look empty. Perfect I think to my self as I get in que behind the tall man in front of me. He honestly smell amazing reminds me of that kid when I was younger. What was his name?.......

***flashback****

Jaiden aged 10

“Hey! Slow down! I can’t see you anymore!” I shout out trying to call teddy back. “Teddy, Teddy! Teddy!!”

I continue screaming while I run through the thick Forrest looking for him. Out of nowhere something tackles me to the ground, the force of the tackle made us roll till I was underneath this furry thing.

Teddy pov

“

Teddy!!!! Teddy!!! “ I hear jaiden calling for me but i wanna get to the lake first. “ Teddy!!!” I hear the panic in his voice so I decided to slow down. Since I met Jaiden at the beginning of camp he has caught my eye. With us both being Alphas we can shift for the first time at any point from 10 year old upwards. I love pulling pranks on jaiden just to see him react, I’m obsessed with getting some form of reaction so I decided to scare him bye jumping him as he runs by.

As I wait for jaiden to run by my body starts heating up, It feels like I’m boiling from the inside. I can’t breath as I grab and start beating my chest I notice my whole body is shacking, I’m just about to pass out from the uncontrollable pain when I hear jaiden again. Fear and crippling Pain rips through me as my skin start to tear apart as my limb shatter. Silent scream leave my mouth as spit and tears mix chocking me. Finally I find my voice and an almighty scream pierced the air just as jaiden was about to pass me. Before I knew what was happening I was rolling through the Forrest with the most beautiful smelling creature.

Bye time we hit a tree and come to a stop I had realised it’s jaiden and that I had turned into a wolf. I couldn’t understand why my wolf attacked him? And why did he smell so good? He smell like honey suckle and cinnamon, peony flowers and the sea? If that makes sense. But to me it like heaven if heaven had a smell.

Before jaiden opened his eyes or this beast take control and finish what he started killing jaiden I ran.

Jaiden’s pov

By time I opened my eyes the furry creature had disappeared. I got up and ran like hell back to camp. While I called out for Teddy. There must be rouge wolfs in the camp woods I question and reasoned with myself. What if it attacks teddy? That thought had me run faster and pushing my body to its limits.

By time the adult got back from looking for Teddy it was late and I was in bed waiting for the bad new. I had convinced my self the rouge got teddy and killed him or took him to be a slave. There was story going around camp about kid being take and sold by rouges, I always thought it was just to scare us obviously not.

The door to our cabin that me and teddy share opens and I brace myself for the bad news. The head of camp Mr Wilder a tall, dark haired, dark eyed and well built man steps around the door and look me straight in the eyes.

“Young man what you and teddy did today was foolish and Reckless” he boomed in his Alpha tone.

“If we hadn’t found teddy when we did Goddess knows what could have happened” he say in a calmer voice while his body relaxes. “ Teddy get in here and apologise to jaiden for running off then get to bed. Your parents will want to speak to you tomorrow I’m sure.”

Teddy walk around the door Mr Wilder pats teddy’s head then turn to leave closing the door behind him. Teddy look at me with fear in his eye’s and I’m sure I can see hope aswell? What is he scared and hopefully for? I was lost thinking about it when he suddenly hugged me so tight. Shocked I looked down seeing he was on his knees with his head in my lap as I was still sitting in bed. “please don’t hate me.” “Please forgive me I would never hurt you” teddy says which totally confuses me. Hurt me? Why would he say that. “haaahaa I know teddy! I wasn’t worried you would hurt me you fool I was worried you was hurt or taken by the rouge” I laughed patting his back.

Teddy looked at me confused “Rouges” he mumbled confused “so your not angry at me?” he says a little louder.

“I’m annoyed you ignored me when I was calling you but no I’m not angry” I say as firmly as I can to reassure him he is my best friend after all. One day we will both have the strongest packs to lead and be allies.

Teddy pov

I can’t believe he think I was a rouge? How could he think that? Could he not smell that It was me and not a rouge? I always thought something was off with jaidens senses even without our wolf counterparts or wolf spirit our senses are heightened. Jaiden’s seem to be stronger than a humans but not as strong as an alpha wolfs should be. Maybe he ain’t an alpha? Hmmm well I don’t care he is my best friend if he can’t be Alpha I’m sure he would be my beta. I would love that.

“Teddy!” Jaiden call for me from outside the cabin. “Yea” I call back as I finish grabbing my bag with the supplies in. Today me and jaiden get permission to go boating to the small island so we can explore it. Most of the camp kids leave us alone being the only Alpha kids here. We don’t get it but we don’t complain either we like the freedom! well I know I certainly do.

“Jaiden move your a*s! we need to catch Mr Wilder before he take his lunch break.” I say to jaiden as we run to Mr Wilders office before he goes to lunch.

“You run ahead we don’t both need to be there to get the permission form signed.” Jaiden called to me as he slowed to a jog. I swear that boy is so lazy how will he handle Alpha training I think to my self as I run on. Finally I arrived in time to catch Mr Wilder leaving and locking his office door. Ahhhh yesssss! Just in time.

“Hello teddy what can I do for you? Why are you out of breath?” Mr Wilder asked studying my face trying to work out what’s happening.

“I’m here to get you to sign mine and jaidens permission forms so we can go to the island” I pant out trying to catch my breath.

“Haha yes I forgot about that” “Remember Mr Tolki is station on the left side of the island if anything should happen contact him or find him” Mr Wilder say before signing our sheets.

“Be back before dinner I expected to see both of you in the lunch hall” He states in his Alpha tone before walking off.

I ran back to our cabin to find jaiden but he is not here I decided to check the food hall he is always hungry. I find Jason walking toward the lake with his rucksack and two heavy looking bag. I run up and snatch one of the bags out his hand while hurting his finger bye accident in the process.

“Ahhh wtf man” Jaiden screams at me I swear I didn’t mean to hurt him I’m just to heavy handed sometimes. But his reaction is worth the anger his cute face looking all pissed.

“Sorry bro I honestly didn’t intend that to happen” I say backing alway raising my free hand in surrender.

“Let’s get a move on we have to be back before dinner Mr Wilder say’s he want to see us in the lunch hall” I state as I walk backward. That seems to have stopped the verbal onslaught for now. We both load the our canoes when I stop to finally ask what in the bags?

“It’s food I thought we would have been there longer” he say with a shrug “We can leave what we don’t eat with Mr Tolki” I just nod in agreement.

We paddled to the island in the middle of the lake. Jaiden was watching me build a fire in the spot we called based camp. After we set out our stuff around the fire we talk about what we was going to do first.

“I think we should hike up to the top of that small mountain, we can look for that cave of supposed gold and get a view of the island ” jaiden say to me. Gold always sound good to me.

“Yea lets go I can’t wait to roll in all that gold” I say happily with the biggest grin on my face.

Jaidens pov

As we hike the mountain teddy keep looking at me unsure about something? I keep quite and observe him, what has happened to him he had been acting off since the rouge. I keep catching teddy looking around then sniffing the air then looking at me quickly before carrying on walking. What is going on is he smelling the rouges? I decided to ask

“Teddy what’s going on? Why do you keep sniffing the air” he looks at me shocked? That just confused me more does he not know he’s doing it or does he think I can’t see?

“Sorry bro I keep getting strong whiffs of this crazy fragrance” “ cant you smell it” He ask’s me with a look on his face where I can tell he is thinking something over.

“No not nothing out the ordinary” I say after sniffing the air “Maybe your wolf sense’s are stronger than mine. Mom say my family are all late bloomers.” He just nods and walks on.

Finally we arrive at a clearing at the top with a view that takes your breath away. We scouted the area and made notes on what we found once we had rested, we messed around in the low branches of the trees before heading back down. Teddy complained about not find the cave

“Aghhh this sucks bro I was gonna buy my Ferrari and private jet with that gold” he sulked as we continued down the small mountain. While laughing I look at teddy I noticed him sweating a lot and the more I stared I swear his skin was twitching.

“Teddy are you ok man? Your sweating a lot and I swear your skin is twitching” I say half laughing as I don’t want to seem mad. He just looks at me and growl then runs off.

Teddy pov

I can feel my skin burning up and the tingles all over erupte as jaiden asked me what’s wrong. It’s as if my body is having a reaction to his voice I growl in response to him shocking my self. That’s it I got run again I don’t want to hurt him even tho Mr Wilder said it normal for alpha to shift as early as 10 why do I only get this happening around jaiden. Mr Wilder explained that tho I have shifted I won’t receive my spirit wolf till 18 but he also said that I shouldn’t shift again till 18. So WTF is happening? Does my wolf hate jaiden that much? Is it instinct because he is an alpha?

I don’t know where I have ran to but I know I need to go to Mr Tolki, jaiden would have gone to him straight away I’m sure.

“Stop ! Don’t run!” Jaiden shouts out to me as he step around the tree with wide eyes and out of breath. I swear with my half shifted body all I want to do is be close to him. But why?

“Jaiden I’m sorry please don’t leave me” i rasp out in a voice unknown to me. Jaiden just looks at me carful as he slowly approaches me with his hand out.

“Teddy it’s ok come with me let go to Mr Tolki, he will help you don’t be scared ok” he was telling me to not be scared haaahaa I wasn’t scared for myself I was scared he was scared.

Slowly I follow Jaiden to as we walk through the trees and bushes. My vision,hearing, senses was on overdrive I could hear thing miles away. And jaiden smell like heaven wrapped in human skin tho I couldn’t never tell him.

Jaiden pov

Walking to find Mr Tolki on the left side of the island I kept getting small whiffs of teddy and he smell delicious! I know I shouldn’t think about my friend smelling delicious especially when he is stuck in a half shift form. But he smells mouth watering and I can’t look alway from him. Mr Tolki was an old man who preferred to live on the island away from everyone. He was a kind man but had very few words to say, when he say teddy he just told us to wait in the cabin that he would be back. Teddy crouched in the corner of the sparse room which only held a couch made from wood and a cabinet and a t.v. The was another three close door off this room which I didn’t explore. Teddy started screaming and I can hear bones snapping I look in the corner with horror written across my face.

“Teddy teddy!! What’s wrong OMG how can I help” i scream at him in panic. As I reach him he is a panting and sweaty mess but after a few more bone chilling screams he has completed his shift.

“WOW TEDDY YOUR BEAUTIFUL” i shout in shock at the small but perfect silver wolf! But his silver is like liquid metal or a liquid mirror. I have never seen anything so beautiful I reach out to touch him and his fur is the softest anything I have ever felt. Teddy purrs and stand up pushing in to me and climbing on me, I freak out try to push him off but he growls and carries on stalking over me.

“Teddy! Stop your scaring me” i try to say calmly but voice wavers. Teddy take me shoulder in his mouth and bites down while pushing me to lay flat on the floor.

“Teddy f*****g stop it hurts” I scream at him rage and fear in my voice. He growls deep and Viciously that his teeth vibrate in my flesh. He lays his furry warm body on top of me. He starts to dry hump me while I lay there screaming. I was so scared I thought he was going to rip my head off as he clamped his teeth harder into my shoulder near my neck. After what felt like hours! Which must of been minutes teddy released all over my favourite T-shirt and jeans. Only Mr Tolki throwing him off me saved me.

“Oi you dirty little f**k” Mr Tolki shouts as throws teddy into the cabin wall

“You ok son?” Mr Tolki asked me before he went and restrained teddy in wolf form.

After we got back to camp Mr Wilder too me straight to the head nurse while he got mine and teddy parents on the phone. We was already meant to call home after dinner to talk about our last trip in the wood. Ahhhhhh I’m definitely dead dad will kill me for wasting money and not fighting back.

Teddy tried begged to talk to me but I was to freaked out to even him look at him. Once I got my shoulder looked at and a few stitches. I was on the phone to my mom, thank god it her and not dad. She agree to come and pick me up straight away but wants to talk to Mr Wilder and teddy’s parents. By time the dinner bell sounded my mom was at the camp gate for me.
